Chapter 13
Luthor was telling Elena important information that had to do with the other Immortals. It wasn't good news.
Elena: Are you saying that the others have gone to the dark side or something?
Luthor: Yea. It looks like they're up to no good. Guess power does lead to madness.
Elena: Dios mio. (Translation: My god.) Do you know what they're planning?
Luthor: Don't know. All I know is that whatever it is, it's gonna be a huge threat to everyone in this world.
Elena: What about Ryuna? Is she on their side?
Luthor: *shrugs* I doubt it, she never really liked the others.
Elena: *sighs in relief* I'm glad she's still on our side.
Luthor: No time to relax, we've got to find Ryuna. If we're going to stop the other Immortals, we'll need all the help we can get.
Elena: *runs to the helm* Well then, let's go! I hope the young ones are gonna be okay, if they run into any of the Immortals, they're in big trouble. I pray for your safety Sentaro-kun, please be careful.
Elsewhere, Kitty, Sentaro, Ryo, Bella, and Nero were traveling through a deserted town.
Ryo: Hey Sentaro, I saw you blush when that demon chick kissed you.
Sentaro: Yea, so?
Ryo: You like her, don't you? xD
Sentaro: What? *blushes a little* Of course not. I mean, I do but as a friend.
Ryo: *smirks* Uh huh, sure.
Kitty: I think you two look cute together. ^^
Sentaro: Kitty!
Bella: I agree with Kitty. You two were meant for each other. ^^
Sentaro: Not you too. -_-; Blast!
Nero: What're they talking about, oniichan?
Sentaro: Nothing. You're too young to understand.
Nero: Aw! *pouts* I'm too young for everything.
Sentaro: Cheer up kid. Here, I want to give you something. *pulls out a small case from his pocket that contained a dagger* This is my father's old dagger, Hayabusa. He gave it to me when I was your age. But since I'm not a big fan of small weapons, I want you to have it. Now if anything happens that we get separated, you got something to fight with.
Nero: *takes the dagger* Wow, thanks oniichan.
Ryo: Hey, I hate to be a bother in this lovely conversation, but in case you haven't noticed, we're the only living beings in this town.
Kitty: He's right, where is everybody?
Bella: it looks like this place was abandoned for at least three years.
Ryo: Question is, why?
Sentaro: Probably cuz of the lack of water or agriculture. Listen, we can solve this mystery some other time. Right now, we should find some place to set camp, it's going to be dark soon.
Kitty: *nods* Okay.
As Kitty and her friends were leaving the area, Nero heard a noise. It appears that they weren't alone.
Nero: *holding on to Sentaro's hand, whimpering* O-Oniichan, I heard something.
Sentaro: Hm?
Ryo: Don't worry kid, it's probably just a cat. Besides, we're the only people here.
Sentaro: *eyes glow a little* No we're not. We got company.
Kitty, Sentaro, Ryo, Bella and Nero unsheathed their weapons, got in battle positions, and waited for their mysterious enemy to come.
Ryo: ... I don't see anyone.
Sentaro: *eyes glow* It looks like they're heading towards that building. *points to an abandoned warehouse*
Kitty: Well, lets go see. *runs towards the warehouse*
Ryo: W-Wait up Kitty! *follows Kitty*
Sentaro: Jeez, that girl's gonna be the death of us one day. *follows*
Bella: Hey, wait up! *follows*
Nero: HEY! Don't just leave me here! *follows*
As Kitty was going towards the warehouse, she saw a warrior dresed in black battle robes, a belt holding many huge weapons, and wearing an ancient dragon mask over his face, entering the warehouse.
Kitty: What was that?
Ryo: Looks like we need to go in and find out.
They entered the warehouse and inside they saw a group of warriors, wearing the same thing, surrounding a young man. He was the same age as Sentaro, he had blue hair and black eyes, and he was using a fan/windmill shuriken to fight off the assassins.
Bella: *blushing a little* Who-Who is he?
Kitty: Oh no, he needs help! *charges at them with her staff Charlemagne in her hand*
Ryo: Kitty, wait!
Kitty: Lightning Strike! *sends a bolt of lightning at one of the warriors, he disappears and reappears behind her, throws kunais at her, she turns around and gasps*
Sentaro: *blocks the attack with his giant blade Setsuka* You should never rush into a fight, Kitty.
Kitty: Sentaro-san!
Ryo: *takes out his scythe Irkalla* We'll hold 'em off, you, Bella and Nero take our guest to safety.
Kitty: *nods* Okay. *goes up to the young man and grabs his arm*
Young man: Hey, what're you doing?
Kitty: Don't worry, we're not your enemies. We're here to take you to safety.
Young man: You're helping me?
Kitty: Yes, now lets go.
Young man: *nods, follows Kitty out of the warehouse*
Kitty: C'mon Bella, Nero lets go!
Bella: U-Uh, right! *follows Kitty*
Nero: Good luck oniichan and Ryo-san! *follows them*
While Sentaro and Ryo were fighting off the assassins, Kitty, Bella and Nero took their guest on the other side of town for safety.
Kitty: *pants* Phew.... hey you, why were those guys attacking you?
Young man: No idea. I was just walking past this area, when all of a sudden these warriors come out of nowhere and started attacking me.
Kitty: Oh..... Oops, how rude of us, we forgot to introduce ourselves. I'm Kitty, she's Bella and he's Nero.
Young man: I'm Edward, pleasure to meet you.
Kitty: *notices something different about him* Hm? *tilts her head a little*
Edward: What?
Kitty: *approaches him, lowers one of his lips with her fingers, sees fangs* Whoa, are you a vampire?
Edward: *gets her hand and gently pushes it away* Yes.
Nero: *gasps, hides behind Bella, whimpering*
Bella: *staring at Edward, blushing a little* o///o
Kitty: Cool, this is the second vampire we've seen. *covers her neck with her hand* I hope this one doesn't bite me, I really don't wanna be bitten again. But the thing I really wanna know is, if he is friend or foe?
