Something happened on Saturday that completely changed my whole life as I know it. It all started when my parents got home from the baseball game that they went to. They called me outside to look at something and I thought that it was something stupid like a new baseball hat that they won or something like that. As soon as I got outside they pointed to the backyard. The only thing I could see was something white moving around behind the bushes. I asked my mom if we had gotten a goose. She said no and told me to go into the backyard and get a closer look at it. That's when I found out that it was. It was...................a beagle puppy eek The white thing I saw moving around in the bushes was the beagle's lamp shade thingy that they put on dogs when they get hurt. I was in shock and my parents told me that someone had abandoned him in the middle of a busy street. We decided to name him Poncho and I was the one that had to take care of him because he bonded with me the most and he followed me everywhere. The poor little puppy has been abused, you can tell because he shys away from men and he HATES cages. So we decided that since Poncho had no tags and no one was looking for him we were going to keep him. He sleeps in a huge cage in my room and that's when we found out that we couldn't keep him. He whined the whole time he was in the cage and when I let him out and let him sleep on the floor he peed at the foot of my bed. So I was the one who had to clean it up, at 5 in the morning! Poncho and my other dog Tuffy fight all the time. It's because Poncho wants to be the alpha dog and Tuffy won't let him. Another thing that drives us crazy about Poncho is that he chews on everything except his toys. We really can't keep him because we don't have the time to house-break another dog and I'm going back to school on Tuesday so I can't put up with him keeping me up at all hours of the night. So if you're reading this tell me if you know about any no kill animal shelters that take in strays and are around the Chicago area. Anyway if you're wondering about the title I say that because I was so tired and so angry at Poncho barking at full volume last night that I threw a braclet against his cage so that he would shut up, it worked for about 5 minutes and then he was barking again. And when I was caring him outside so that he would go to potty outside I almost dropped him sweatdrop I think that my parents are thinking about keeping Poncho, if we do he' sleeping in their god damn room, not mine!
