Sevina, part three, a new begining
Sevina walked slowly around and through the forest. It was now what a human might call an old forest. But it was still young to her. She walked slowly so as not do disturbe the peace of the forest.

She had been alone for so many centurys, she didnt know any other life. Sure she had tryed to rescue others. But she had always been too late. Her last rescue had been with a tiny Neco kit. The boy was bairly old enough to be away from his mother, yet he was.

He had been a house slave, beaten and starved. When Sevina had found out, she had flew to his rescue. BUt she had beento late, the most she had been able to do was take the chileds pain away.

Suddenly her peice was dsturbed, Demons, in her forest. They had blood and death on them. Sevina grew furiouse. No one dared to disturbe her forest without her knowalge.

She moved twards the sound, Stopping in cold fury she watched a group of nasty demons attack a young kit. She growled bloodly as she lept twards them, just s one chased the tiny kit futher into the forest.

Onl a few moments later she was in persute. She gave strangled cry as the boy fell into the river. It was swift and arshly cold. Worry flahed accrossed her. The demon who had been chasing the boy turned to her.

"Oh, a half breed. You shouldnt be out on your own, mag..." He never finnished over te gurggle of warm bood that streamed from his throught.

She set off down river, she had a good Idea where the boy would emerge, many higs came outat that part of the river, where it folded in on itself.

She stood watching the boy. His tiny body was struggling in on itself. She took a few steps twards him, until she was standing over the child.

He startd to resest her, in a garbled jumble of words. Without warning she grasped the boy's arm and pulled him up into her strong arms. The wild fury that she gimpst in his eyes made her smile.

Maybe he would live, she took a second t look him over as she walked steadly twards the big house. Its rich color already showing its great age. The door swong open as she aproched, it read her need for its help.

As she walked through the door itclosed with a soft snap behind her. Sevina moved upstaires. She came to a door a short way down the second floor hall. The door swong silently open She walked the unconciance boy to the huge feather bed. She set the child down on the bed.

She placed a cool hand on the boys head, leaving a calming spell over him. With one last look at the boy she left.

As soon as the sun rose she was at the door. Standing otside the room she had left the boy she sighed. She hadnt left sight of the room since she had broght him to her home

Opening the doo she saw the ferile chile huddle in the corner. She smiled darkly. This was going to be a hard day. She saw fear and mistrust flash accross his face.

She moved twards the boy, holding out her hand. He growled at her and tryed to back away. She frowned slightly, "Come now, child. I wont hurt you, thats right, your safe now." She cooed at the wild boy.

When he snarld at her again she reached dwn and grasped the nape of his neck, lifting the small kit into her arms, he weighed next to nothing.

"I think you need a bath. You are too dirty." She said in a soft freindly voice. Setting him down she ra some water in a deep tub.

She watched the flickering emotions on the childs face. 'What could have driven you to this, you poor poor child?' She thought as she watched him dip his hand into the fresh water.

"Well now, you have a clean spot. You might as well finnish. She set a towle on the clean counter, next to an asortment of fregranced candles.

She lit a couple and smiled at the boy. "Now Ill be back soon, you just wash up." She said leaving.

She had just finnished remakng the bed when she heard a comotion, she walked quickly tothe bathing room. She took in the soaked, now slightly burnt towl, and the candles laying all over the floor.

Anger flashed accross her face fr a brief second. But sighing she smiled. The boy, at least, was in the tub.

"Well, at least I dont have to fight you for those nasty clothes. And No more candles for you." She said s she fishd the early rotted cothes out of the ub, tossing them to the burnt towle.

"Im jst going to have t clean you myself, arnt I?" Se asked slightly amused.

But the chld growled and nashed his teeth at her, Anger flashed in he at his stubberness. She grabbed the boy quickly. He fought against her hard. But she won in the end.

In a few moments she picked him up out of the dirty tub water and towled him dry. She pulled out a set of small silk shirt and trousers. Dressin the boy she picked hi up again.

Moving twards the kitchen she set him gently in a chair. "Now you must be hungery. Arnt you little one." SHe asked softly. He turned her bck for a second he was tryig to remove his clothes.

"Keep thm on." She said colder than she ment to. The fear that flashe accross hi face made her bite her toung. "Now would you like... How about pretzles she asked.

He was fdgity, and it was driving her up the wall. When she handed the boy the boy of pretzles she had tosmile as he bit into the box. "No, no. Here. She took the box from him and tore the top off.

She tryed to hnd him one of te salty snaks but he cringed away from her. She felt a wave of pain, but dumped the box on the kitchen table. He watched him take the food to corner of e room and devour the food.

"You can eat there for now, boy, but soon, you will eat there." She said poiting to the abandoned chair. He watched her warly then returned to his food.

Sevina stood up and moved twards the sink. She filled two cups with cool fresh water and returned to the table, just as the bo begain to look around.

Se smiled at him and pointed to the cup. He took it and tested the water, before downing the glass.

"Now, time to figure out your name. I cant call you boy foreve, now can I.?" She told him thoughtfully
