Chapter 18
Ryuna was about to leave to confront the Immortals, but she stopped and remembered why she came here in the first place.
Ryuna: Right now, Kitty's my biggest concern, so I'll stay.
Sentaro: Wise decision, sensei.
Ryo: *yawns* Let's all get some rest.
Ryuna: *nods*
Everyone went to sleep, except Edward and Ryuna. She was busy taking care of Kitty.
Ryuna: Thank goodness you're still alive, Kitty. *pets her head* If you had died, I...... I wouldn't know what to do. *tears run down her cheek*
Edward: Seems like you care about her very much.
Ryuna: Of course, I'm kinda like a mother to her. Her parents and her older brother died when she was a baby, so I took her in. I've been raising her as if she were my own daughter. I taught her everything I knew. Whenever I'm with her, I'm always happy, even when she's causing trouble. She's not just someone who's precious to me, she's..... *looks at Kitty* my reason for living.
Edward: Hmm... *looks at Bella* Reason for living....
Kitty: *waking up*
Ryuna: Kitty?
Kitty: Senpai? *suddenly looks scared* EEK! I'm sorry I ran away without telling you, senpai! Please don't blame Sentaro-san and Ryo-san, it was my fault, I swear! I'm sorry!!!
Ryuna: *hugs her* It doesn't matter. What really matters is that you're alive.
Kitty: *starts crying* I missed you, senpai! WAAAHHH!!!
Ryuna: I missed you too. I want you to promise me you'll never run away again.
Kitty: I promise. *checks herself* Hey, my injuries are gone.
Ryuna: Your new friend healed your wounds.
Kitty: Shouta-kun?
Ryuna: Yup. Be sure to thank him in the morning.
Kitty: I will.
Ryuna: Now you get some rest.
Kitty: Okay... *gasps* Wait a minute I just remembered something. Senpai, guess what? Sentaro-san found Chita-neechan.
Ryuna: He did? Where?
Kitty: He said she's at the Rocky Mountains.
Ryuna: That's pretty far from here.
Kitty: I know, it's gonna take us forever to get there.
Ryuna: Don't be so sure. I've got an idea.
Kitty: Really? What is it?
Ryuna: You'll find out in the morning. Now get some sleep.
Kitty: Aw! *lies down, falls asleep*
The next morning....
Kitty: *wakes up*, stands up, stretches* What a nice morning.
Ryo: Kitty! You're okay.
Bella: Thank goodness.
Edward: ...
Nero: Yay!
Sentaro: How are you feeling?
Kitty: A-okay! ^^
Shouta: Morning, everybody.
Kitty: Shouta-kun! *glomps him*
Shouta: OOF! *gets knocked down*
Kitty: Thank you for healing me.
Shouta: No problem.
Kitty: Oh, sorry about that. ^^; *stands up*
Shouta: Don't worry about it. *stands up*
Ryuna: All right people, c'mon we got places to go.
Ryo: You're gonna help us? I thought you were here to take us home.
Ryuna: Not until we find Chita.
Ryo: Oh.... Well, how are we gonna get there without a source of transportation?
Ryuna: Leave that to me. *she slowly starts transforming into a huge silver dragon*
Bella: Whoa!
Ryo: Holy crap!
Nero: AAH! *hides behind Sentaro, whimpering*
Kitty: Relax guys. She's still the same senpai we know. *hugs Ryuna's head*
Ryo: She looks cool in her dragon form.
Sentaro: *nods* Truly extraordinary.
Kitty: Hop aboard everyone! *jumps onto Ryuna's back*
Ryo: All right, we get to fly! *jumps onto her back*
Bella: Sweet! *jumps on*
Edward: *jumps on*
Sentaro: Don't worry Nero, we'll be safe. I promise.
Nero: O-Okay, oniichan.
Sentaro: *grabs Nero and jumps onto Ryuna's back*
Kitty: Hey Shouta-kun, aren't you gonna come?
Shouta: I'd love to, but I think your friends aren't comfortable with the idea of having a Slayer as a comrade.
Kitty: I don't mind, c'mon get on.
Shouta: *sighs* Well all right. *jumps on*
Kitty: Now let's go!
Ryuna takes off and flies high in the sky, heading east.
An hour later......
Everyone was enjoying the view.
Kitty: Whoa!
Bella: What a view!
Ryo: Totally awesome!
Nero: *holding onto Sentaro, closing his eyes, whimpering* I'm scared.
Sentaro: *hugs Nero* It's okay, I'm here.
Ryuna: *says something in a strange language*
Ryo: Huh? Hey Sentaro, what language is she speaking?
Sentaro: It's Draconic, the ancient tongue of the dragons.
Kitty: She said that we should be there in half an hour.
Ryo: How did she know?
Sentaro: Dragons are born with the knowledge of their ancient language.
Kitty: *sees something at the distance* Oooh! Look at those beautiful crimson birds.
Ryo: They're a little bigger than any bird I've ever seen.
Sentaro: Those aren't just any birds, those are phoenixes.
The phoenixes see them and started heading towards them at high speed.
Kitty: They don't look too happy to see us!
Sentaro: Get ready guys. It looks like were about to have a dangerous battle.
