The strangest things go through my head I don't know what I am going to use that for, but I just had the urge to write it. He looked at her and smiled, a warm flicker of amusement in his eyes, and he said softly “I’ve missed you.” Without looking at him she replied, “I didn’t know I had left.” He rolled his eyes and sighed, “Don’t be naive, you know what I mean.” She finally looked at him, “and don’t treat me like a pawn, you know I don’t play chess.” He laughed, a dry bittersweet sarcastic laugh, “Of course not, you were always preferred dancing, moving from one step to the next consistently, never committing to a particularly move.” She summed up her courage and looked him directly in the eyes, “I guess then you would have been the tango, a dance filled with hesitations and pauses.” He didn’t miss a beat, “if only it could have been more like salsa, fluent and movement with feeling: not thinking.” She smiled, a soft, fake smile, “you never provided a good enough lead.” He didn't reply and they just stood for a moment looking at each other, their eyes expressing more of their bitter memories than words ever could.
