Rose: Getting Good Explainations (and Taran)

Rose entered the study, especially after hearing Lord Avondale tell her not to hesitate. She closed the door behind her, and then looked at the two men in front of her. She had a thoughtful look upon her face, and it was a moment before she spoke.

"I heard some things. I won't lie. If I heard correctly, Taran is a dragoon to a Dragon God." she looked pointedly at Taran when she said this. "Am I correct?"

Taran held her gaze, though it was hard. He had lied to her, he knew, and she did not like liars, being lied to, and she didn't lie. He held her gaze, and had to draw on his inner strength to speak.

"This is true." he said. He could not lie to her. Not now, at least, not like this. He looked over to Lord Avondale after Rose broke their eye contact.

Rose looked over at Lord Avondale.

"So. What else am I missing here? Why did you have to run over here and talk to him? Last I checked, you weren't a Dragon God, Lord Avondale, so he can't be your dragoon. What is going on?"

Se'rox and the Other Nobodies

Seeing that Zuchax III knew this Nobody put Se'rox to ease. She did not know this Xeona, but she did recall that Zuchax III's time in the Organization was longer than her own, and he worked more directly with all of the people that came through there. Perhaps he knew her from there. Or from any of the dozens of places he had been since then. It was impossible to tell. But she didn't like it.

Wishing she had more than a bikini and a jacket on at this point, she realized she might have enough power now to open a portal home and change clothes. However, even though she thought she could, and Zuchax III seemed to know this Nobody, didn't mean that he was safe with her- or the other two she realized were standing nearby- or that this Xeona might not take it wrong, Se'rox opening a portal right there. Se'rox sighed.

"So you two know each other?" she asked simply. "Do you know her friends, too, Zuchax? The ones hiding on the other side of the bushes?" She knew that saying this proved that Xeona was not being forthcoming, and also told Zuchax III of the reinforcements she had nearby. The only downside was that Xeona might now be able to tell that Se'rox could "see" them somehow, and they wouldn't try a sneak attack just to be foiled by Se'rox's non-sight vision.
