I'm finally getting some pictures up while resurrecting my journal. This should be barrels of fun to read... at the very least, to click. XD
Four of the Six My sister is taking this picture so she's not in it. But from left to right, Melinda, Rory (top), Kyra and me.
Gansta Lisa Luckily we did catch Lisa in a few pictures. I love this one. She's so cute. ^__^;;
Duck Anyone? This would be the sixth and possibly one of my favourite members of the group. My Buddy. I slept with that duck for a week. You'd be amazed how the thing looks now. XD
Buddy likes Duck At least he likes the thing. XD
Little Cove Throwing in a bit of scenery. Little Cove is my most favourite place in Tobermory. It's technically just outside of but it's Buddy's and my discovery. Him and I explored this place top to bottom... not really... when we found it. Then we got to take the others to see it too. Lots of pictures of Little Cove. Little Cove 2 If you squint, you can see an orange tipped rock. That's how far we hiked. Little Cove 3 It really is orange tipped. XD Little Cove 4 I think this is a bald eagle. I'm not sure but I don't know what else it could be. Little Cove 5 This is a picture of some of the rocks at the end of the trail we blazed ourselves. We decided their trails were blazed for s**t and took over. We could have climbed up into the bush but... mosquitos. Little Cove 6 Buddy was admiring the view with me. He's so cute. Didn't mean to get in the picture though or he would have been smiling. He was nicknamed The Mountain Goat while running through Little Cove. He takes those rocks like nobody's business. Several times.
The Trillium Throwing in a bit more scenery. Ontario's provincial plant. It's illegal to pick and replant. They grow wild wherever they feel like it and only bloom every seven years.
Death to Bugs! Scenery again but my goodness! This one is a carnivore. Meet the Pitcher Plant of Tobermory. It's very cool. Basically it requires certain nutrients that it can get from eating bugs. It turns out it doesn't actually eat the bugs, which if you ask me is kind of disappointing. The bugs go for the little bulb of the flower which is a really pretty pink underneathe and then they slip off and fall into the leaves that look like little tubes. The hairs inside the tubes prevent the bugs from crawling out so they die and basically rot away and that's how the plant gets the nutrients. Still gets rid of some bugs.
Wiarton Whirling This picture turned out really good. When my sister and I were growing up we used to play on the merry-go-round at the campsite we used to go to. The last one we were on was there. Needless to say, the stop in Wiarton was quite a treat and it didn't take us long to take over the merry-go-round. My sister got quite sick after that. XD
Still Ugly! This is me in the morning before I was dressed or conscious really. I was shouting something about not being pretty yet and needing to put my face on or something. XD
LotR Rock Climbing You know the part of the fellowship where one by one they climb up over the ledge on the cliff with the music playing? This picture reminds me of that. And I have my face on and I'm all pretty. A nice change, eh?
Yikes! And of course we can't forget the lovely 90 pound laprador retriever. He's so funny.
Love. He has to be one of the cutest things on the face of the planet. I just adore him. Looks like he's rather fond of me too, huh?
Bye Bud! Not the most flattering picture of me but my Buddy sure does like to swim. That water isn't all that much above freezing either. My feet went numb when it washed over them. Buddy doesn't seem to notice at all.
Glort to the Rescue! He's usually really good getting out of the water himself. This time he was slipping on some rocks so I gave him a bit of assistance. There goes one of my biannual bathes...
BFFs I never seem to care how wet I get when my Buddy goes swimming. He's my baby and I'll take him any way he is. Even if I get drenched.
Did I pack everything? Someone didn't want to be left behind...
Heading Home How can anyone not love this thing? That'd be my foot he's on. Not overly comfortable but far too cute for words.
Anyway, that's a bunch of the pictures. I have loads more but I'm lazy. Hope you liked. ^__^
