Ok. So, I absolutly love musicals. A movie with lyrics and song, moves me to actually sit and pay attention to it. That's why I love Disney movies, the cartoon ones almost always have a song!
The Lion King II is a great one, one of my favorits. I also love The Hunchback of Notre Dam, my favorite song from that movie is when Esmerelda sings God Help the Outcast.
Phantom of the Opera, a popular one and I love it, but it isn't one of my favorites. But Music and Lyrics, it just makes me smile, it's a wonderful movie, a great one if you've got your boyfriend over and you want to watch a romance, but he wants to watch something funny. It's really kinda silly at first, but I love this movie, and the songs are really catchy.
I love Evita. Haven't actually seen the movie, but I'm working on it. If you notice when you go to my profile, one of the movies main songs is Oh What a Circus sung by Antonio Banderas (one of the best looking older men I know of, and has a great voice. >.< wink He has also done a cover sng of Music of the Night with Sarah Brightnam..ham, I don't remember her name, she's not one of my favorite singers.
And I love Moulin Rouge, it's a beautifuly done movie, and for those of you who don't know, the Moulin Rouge, was, and is a real place, and so is the story, but now the Moulin Rouge is more of a tourist attraction than a Bohemian paradise. The movie too a bunch of old songs and re-did them to be used as dialogue in parts. It a hilarious and extremly touching movie, that would be even better than Music and Lyrics for that movie night with your boyfrined.
Music makes me want to move! Makes me want to get up and do something, anything. Makes me want to dance, smile, cry, sing! Now, I'm warning you, I can't really dance, so that usually never happens, so I have to curl up, fighting with the energy that music puts in my body, just so I don't make a fool of myself.
Music is a part of every person, weather they want it to be or not. It's part of our lives. Some of us only listen to one specific type of music, some listen to almost everything they can get their hands on (that would be me), but there's one thing it does to every single person. It moves us, sometimes in ways, another person just can't. It holds every emotion imaginable, and more. Love, anger, hate, betrayal, humor, depression, joy, confusion, saddness...You all know I could go on and on.
So here's to music, you have survived beyond all, and wil continue to be there, even after people are long gone.
