Rose: Debating How to Fix Wynn

Rose was nothing more than a spectator in her own home at the moment, as Lord Avondale, Kaku, Shalimar, Wynn, Wolf, Larkin and Taran were all in the sitting room, visiting and arguing over Wynn.

Lord Avondale seemed to think that with the help of people who knew her best, he could restore Wynn's memories. Kaku seemed to think that she was missing a soul fragment, and that that needed to be restored before anyone thought of trying anything else. Meanwhile, Rose had taken Wynn aside to restore her to consciousness, but upon hearing the debate and remembering how much of Wynn's memory was gone, decided that consciousness would be short lived for Wynn in this house anyways.

Instead, though, Rose put one hand on Wynn's head, the other over her heart, and closed her eyes. She wanted to do a quiet exploration of the wounds that afflicted Wynn, -an innate fairy talent- including her brain, heart, and soul.

She found herself almost lost, following paths that should have been there, trying to correlate links that were damaged or did not exist. It was as if Rose herself was lost amidst the chaos wherein Wynn's memories had gotten lost, and upon that realization, Rose pulled herself out of the search, and back to herself.

When she did, she physically fell backwards, and found herself panting, staring up at the ceiling. She didn't say anything, as she had nothing helpful to say, and didn't want to get anyone mad at her for trying; in this group, that was likely.

Se'rox: Illogical Reactions

As Zuchax III went on the tirade that Se'rox knew was coming, she knew there was nothing to do but wait until he- or they- left, and that after that, things would cool down.

What she hadn't expected was for one of the unknown women to start more trouble, calling people by odd nicknames and pointing out that n** was a Vampire. In fact, between everything else that was being said, Se'rox only had a second to notice that the odd woman had said that there was another blind person, and that she asked Se'rox if she saw through Zuchax III's eyes- at least, that was the logical reference that the nickname "Scar" led to, as well as her own, being Seafoam. Whatever that meant was lost on Se'rox, who was suddenly in the middle of saying goodbye to Xink and Xangord who had to quickly go.

"I will see you later, Xangord, Xink." she said. But that was the last thing she got out before Zuchax III's tirade. He yelled at the blind woman, at n**, at Xangord, and everyone in general, then made a portal and left. Se'rox knew where he would flee to, so she was not in a rush to follow; he would be in a near-blind rage for the next minute or so anyways. What she did not expect was for Xeona to defend his belief that vampires did not exist. Se'rox half-turned to face Xeona during her explainations. Se'rox was not sure, but there was something very wrong with this.

Xeona disappeared through her own portal, and Se'rox was left facing the vampire and the blind woman.

"I need no cane, nor do I borrow anyone's eyes. I have an affinity with earth, and it's movements. And every action has a reaction, most of which reverberate through the ground." Se'rox explained quickly. "I have heard creatures called bats use a similar technique to see, but they use sound waves."

Thinking more about Zuchax III for some unknown reason, and knowing that she had to get to him, despite the fact that he should be safe for the moment, Se'rox frowned.

"I must go after him. Flan, we will talk, eventually." Se'rox said, and bowed her head quickly as a farewell, before opening a portal beside herself and stepping through it.

As she did, she knew it was a mistake. She was still fairly weak, and still needed rest- and a good mudbath would help. But that was not the only thing. The snowy clearing should have held Zuchax III, hunkered down and muttering, ready to stab anything that moved. But it did not. And Se'rox could use a small amount of her ability with water and earth to detect footprints in the snow, though they were filling up fast. Zuchax III had been here, as had someone else. It looked like it might even have been Xeona. But they were gone now, and there was a trace of something in the snow.

Touching it, Se'rox shuddered. Zuchax III had been attacked. Whether or not in self-defense, he had been attacked, and then carried off by his attacker. Se'rox screamed at the top of her voice, for as long as she had breath for. There was something wrong inside her, and it was getting worse. And she was fairly certain that Xeona was the cause of it.

Se'rox opened up another portal. It led back home- the only home she knew, Kaku's house. It was physically painful to open and hold open yet. However, she simply stared at it.

"He's not there." she said to herself, sharing her logic with the snow. "If he's wounded, the attacker would not take him home. She would not know where home was, nor would she be stupid enough to bring an injured man to his allies. No, he is not there."

Se'rox closed the portal, stood staring- as if she could see- at the spot where the portal had been for a moment. Then she shifted her stance, and stood staring at and trying to learn more from the spot where Zuchax III's steps ended.

Condensation smeared her face as Se'rox quietly sat down in the accumulating snow, trying to reason out Zuchax III's whereabouts, and his condition.
