(Chapter 5)
The group stopped in a near by forest. They figured it would be best for Camy. Out in the fresh air. Camy still had a little fever, but she was looking much better once she got out of that castle. Some color came back to her face. “So how can we help her out here?” asked Eien towards Ginnger. “Well, walk around. There’s bound to be herbs or something that will easy her pain or help with the fever.” said Ginnger. “Can I go?” asked Camy tring to get up, she was still a little weak. “No,” said Eien, “you should stay here and rest.” Then Ginnger said, “Yes. Go with him.” “What?” asked Eien. “She should go with you. Get her blood flowing. Move around a little bit.” insisted Ginnger. Eien nodded and turned to Camy holding out a hand to help her up. “Shall we?” said Eien. Camy smiled and took him hand. Eien helped her up and off they went. When they first started walking, it was silent. Neither one of them knew what to say. Then Eien broke the silence. “Nice day, huh?” said Eien. “What was it?” blurted Camy. “What do you mean?” asked Eien. Camy stopped. She wasn’t sure how to put this. She looked up at him, staring into his eyes. “You eyes” she said, “they turned red when you attacked Damion.” Eien looked at her, then at the ground. “I was mad.” he relpied, “To use the power I showed when I attacked Damion, I barrowed some strenth from my demon side.” Camy looked down at the ground as well. “Can you control it?” asked Camy softly. “In a way, yes.” said Eien. Camy looked at him. Seeing as how she was confused, Eien explained. “If I just barrow power, I can control it. If I totally transform into a demon…..” Eien stopped. “What?” asked Camy cautiously. Eien swallowed hard then said, “If I totally transform, then I could turn on anyone, even you.” When Eien finished, they both stood there in silence looking as the ground. The only noise that was made was the sound of the soft, cool breeze running through the trees. Camy didn’t know what to say. She honestly didn’t want to know anymore. Camy slowly turned and started walking back torwards where they left Ginnger, Greth, and Zey. “Are you coming?” asked Camy. “I’ll be there in a minute.” said Eien, still looking at the ground. Camy turned and looked at him. She took a step toward him, but he just turned his back towards her. She could tell Eien wanted to be alone, so she continued walking back towards everyone else. Learning everything right now brought tears to her eyes. ’Why didn’t he tell me earlier?’ she thought. When Camy was finally out of sight, Eien fell to his knees. He was confussed, and mad at himself. He shouldn’t have told her that he might turned in her. But why did he tell her? Eien couldn’t figure it out. Also, her reaction when he told her. “She never forgive me.” Eien whispered to himself. Eien slowly got up. His eyes turned red again. Eien ran a punched a random tree and hard as he could. The tree snapped like a twig and landed with a hard bang. Eien sat down, leaning against another tree, just thinking. After a couple of minutes, Zey came walking through, only to find a tree broke on the ground and Eien sleeping. Zey decided to leave him there. Eien had had a ruff night last night. After scaning the area to make sure nothing, or no one would disturb or attack Eien as he slept, he headed back to where everyone else was. “He’s sleeping.” said Zey to Camy and the dragons. “Oh.” said Greth. “Why did you leave him?” asked Ginnger. “I’m not going to mess with him when he’s sleeping. I don’t want to put him in a bad mood.” said Zey. “Not you.” said Ginnger, “Camy.” Camy swallowed hard. When she tried to speak, nothing came out. ’Why did she leave?” she asked herself. Maybe it was because he now spills his guts that he may killer her one day. She fought to hold back tears. After a little silence, Zey stepped farward. “We need to build a fire. It’s getting dark and cold. “I’ll go get some wood.” said Camy getting up and walking into the forest. “Be careful, and try to get back before it gets too late.” called Zey after her. As Camy went out of sight, he turned to Greth and Ginnger. “You guys can breath fire right?” asked Zey. Greth gave him a somewhat dirty look. “You want to find out?” asked Greth, grinning devilishly. Zey slowly began to back away. “Ok, ok. Just checking.” said Zey. Zey then bagan to walk around, picking up twigs and small branches and put them into a small pile. “Light this.” said Zey. “Excuase me?” said Ginnger angerly. Zey rolled his eyes. Manneres weren’t really his thing. But if it was going to keep him warm, he guessed he could give it a try. “Fine, light this, please. Happy?” said Zey. “Not perfect, but it’s a start.” grinned Ginnger. She focused on the small pile of sticks in front of her. Ginnger took a deep breath, and let out a killer breath of flames. “There you go.” said Ginnger. Zey was silent. Then Greth cleared his throat. “Oh right. Thanks.” said Zey annoyed with all the politeness. “Your welcome.” said Ginnger starring worriedly into the froest as it seemed the get darker and darker. “Now we just have to wait for Camy.” said Ginnger Meanwhile, Camy was still walking around singing a little lullaby that her mother used to sing to her. In the dark dark forest Was a little little boy He was scared He did not know what to do Then along came a birdy Who seemed a little twirty He said hear me out And fallow through Take a left, take a left Take a right, take a right. Go straight till the flowers turn blue Take a left, then another right And when you see the lights Go straight and then you will be through Camy stopped singing when she heard something behind her in the bushes. She turned around and saw nothing except the setting sun. “Oh, I’m going to be late.” she said to herself. Then she heard a twig snap and looked over, only to see 2 glowing red eye. ‘Is that Eien?’ she thought. ‘Do his eye glow in the dark?’ As the red eyes moved closer towards her, she dropped all the wood she had in her arms and took off running. She had no idea where she was going. Suddenly, a tall dark figure jumped out in front of her. She tried to stopp but couldn’t. And she ran into the figure. This ‘figure’ then grabbed her but not in a way as if to harm her. It seemed more like a hug, warm and comforting. Camy, then realize who the figure was. “E-eien?” she said slowly looking up. Eien looked down at her and smiled as the red slowly faded from his eyes. “Are you ok?” he asked. Camy nodded, realived that it was him and not that thing that was after her. Now they were alone and she knew what she had to say, weather Eien liked it or not. “ya, I’m fine, but we need to talk.” “No, we don’t need to talk right now.” said Eien. “Yes we do, Eien.” said Camy taking a step back. A sad expresstion appeared on his face. ‘She is really going to leave.’ thought Eien. “I’ve been thinking about what you said and I decided I want to leave.” said Camy. Eien’s head sunk. He knew she was going to leave and he hated himself for ever telling Camy. He should have waited till she knew more about him a trusted him not to turn on her. Camy saw the he was sad and she stepped up to him, almost right against is strong chest and grabbed his hands. “I did want to go, but after thinking about it more, I’ve realized I want to stay here.” continued Camy, “Evn if you may turned on me, I want to be there and help you as you’ve helped me on the quest you’ve tagged alone on.” Tears of joy began to fill Eien’s eyes. Then Camy continued. “I promise to always be by your side, just as you have promised me.” said Camy. Eien gentally pulled her head to his chest and held her. Tears stared running slowly down his cheeks. She felt a few tears hit the top of her head. Knowing that Eien was cring, she bagen to cry as well. Camy grabbed him tighter, glad that he was happy. “Thank you” said Eien softly. Camy tried to hold her tears back. Camy loosened her grip of Eien and looked up at Eien. Eien looked down at her. When they saw that each other had tears in their eyes, they both began to laugh slightly. Eien took one hand and whiped the tears from Camy’s face. Camy reached up and whiped his tears too. Then Zey came running through the trees and almost into Eien. Eien and Camy stopped laughing an looked at him, still in each other’s arms. “What’s so funny? What going on?” asked Zey. “Nothing.” said Camy slowly backing away from Eien. “Oh ya? Well what so funny that you 2 were crying?” asked Zey suspiciously. “It’s noting,” said Eien, “And I wasn’t cring. I had something in my eyes.” “Whatever.” said Zey, giving up, “but you guys hurry up. It’s getting darker.” “Well I dropped a bunch of wood over there.” said Camy pointing to where she saw she had seen the red eyes gleaming at her. Then Camy turned to Eien. “Were those you red eyes?” asked Camy with a smirk. “Oh.” said Eien scratching his head, “Ya that was me. Sorry about scaring you like that.” Camy smiled and said, “It’s ok.” “Ok, I’ll get the wood, you guys head back to camp.” said Zey pointing in the direction of Ginnger and Greth. “Camp?” asked Eien. “Ya, we made camp while you went out for wood.” explained Zey, “Now I’m going. You 2 go to camp.” And Zey went off. Camy and Eien watched as he disappeared into the forest. Once he was gone, Camy looked up at Eien. “So which way is camp?” asked Camy. “I don’t know. I think it would be this way.” said Eien, pointing in the direct from where Zey came from, “He might have came straight from Camp.” “I hope so.” said Camy, “It seems kinda scary.” Eien looked at her and smiled. Knowing she was a little ’freaked out’ Eien held out his hand. “Don’t worry. I’ll be here. I always will.” said Eien smiling. Camy gentally took his hand and smiled, slightly blushing. Both of them walked througth the bush in front of them and headed for where they ’hoped’ camp was. As they continued to walk, they were both quiet, but they were really happy. Then Camy stopped. “Whats wrong?” asked Eien. “Do you feel that?” asked Camy. Eien gave her a funny look, wondering what in the world she was talking about. She sounded crazy. “What?” asked Eien Camy looked at him, and said, “The heat.” Eien looked around and closed his eyes. “Wow. Yes I do. How did you get that?” asked Eien “I’m not sure, but whatever. Lets go!” said Camy. Eien nodded to her and they took off running. Camy was still holding his hand so she ran as fast as she could to keep up with this half-demon. Both of them ran a jumped through a bush and stopped. Both the dragons almost jumped out of their skin. “You almost scared us ot death!” cried Ginnger tring to calm down. “Sorry” said Camy. “Look at that.” said Greth. Ginnger smiled and giggled a little. “It looks like we’ll have to keep a special eye on these 2, right Greth?” said Ginnger. Greth laughed and nodded. Camy and Eien didn’t understand what they were talking about. When they looked down, they noticed they were still holding hands. Understanding now what the wise dragons were talking about, Camy began to blush. Eien quickly let go of Camy’s hand and blushed himself. Everything was quiet until Zey came stubbling in throught the bushes. “Whats wrong now?” asked Zey, looking at everyone. He threw thew the wood on the ground, throwing some of it into the fire. “Nothing.” said Ginnger smiling, “Lets get some sleep. It seems that Camy is feeling better. We might be able to head off the the next Demon Lord tomorrow.” explained Ginnger. So they all went to sleep only to dream of what tomorrow will hold.
