So. I've been role playing for close to ten years now, (I started on Yahoo! Messenger when I was 12,) and I have never, EVER, been so terribly obsessed with a role play as I am now. (Which is weird, because there are some role plays that I even drew fanart for in the past! Like I am now, lol xD)
A 'pirate tavern' RP was started up in my Guild by another member, and so I decided to make a character named Alasdair; an 18 year old boy whose looking for another pirate crew to join, so that he can reek his revenge on another pirate who killed his last crew and tried to kill him. Simple enough.
I told my friend about this RP, (friend irl and on Gaia) and jokingly told her that she should make another guy pirate and the two of them should fall in love. (We're a little obsessed with shounen-ai... ^_^; ) She decided to do it, (her first RP! 3nodding ) and created a character named Lucien, a blonde, pretty flamboyant pirate Captain with loooots of issues and mood swings to match. She also made another character, Azrael, who is Lucien's 14 year old cabin boy/slave, but may as well be his adopted son.
Needless to say, we got completely addicted to this role play, or more specifically, our characters. So now we're thinking about them a lot, drawing them all the time, and talking about them pretty much non-stop. ^_^; We can't figure out why the hell we're so obsessed... But I don't care! xD I'm obsessed with a lot of things, but this is probably my first obsession with something I created.
Anyway, I mostly made this journal so that I could have a place to dump all the art that ska-chan and I are spewing out. It's a lot easier than having to jump back and forth between our DevArt pages. ^_^;
