Only a fool would cry over a needless mess. Broken hearts and shattered dreams, At least he tried to make the pain less By letting off some steam.
Only a fool would push her away, some would say. "But I'm sorry my dear, I just can't stay. Your nothing but poison, Sucking my life tragically and blissfully."
You'll cry and weep, But deary, I know, Your eyes clearly show, That your memories have already been swept away.
"Please don't go, you really should stay. There's plenty more that we can play. Just place your hand there. My skin will turn to fire, you'll tremble in my grasp, You'll never find your sanity-- no that you shall never clasp. Give me that stare, those gleaming eyes, so eager inside" She'll moan to me.
With a simple sigh and a turn of cheek, She's tied me into knots, I clearly can't speak. She's tearing at my heart; what more does she want? Only a fool would continue, But my desire is filling the air like wine, So intoxicating and nostalgic.
The night will be over, The deed done, But deep in my heart, My wounds are more than one. She's gone. She's gone. The thought will ring through my head, I could have escaped this misery, But clearly only a fool would miss the chance, To gaze into her clear green eyes, so very filled with mystery.
