Merlow was diligently training with Yael when she of course ended up spraining her ankle. "********! Ow..." Yael went back into his human form and ran to her side,"It looks messed up....we should stop." "No! I can keep going Yael, I just won't fight on this leg...please, I want to defeat Fira....and Lucille!" she said, fire burning in her eyes. "Merlow...you're still so dedicated on defeating a woman you aren't even sure is alive anymore...can't you just let it go?" he asked. "No! Tricking me...and I know she's lurking around in the shadows for me...waiting for me to soften up and....ah!" she screamed as the sand fox touched her ankle. "Easy....come on..I'll take you to Asami..." he said, lifting her up with ease. "Yael?" she asked, in his arms, blushing. "Hm? What?" he asked. "Well...do you think I'm weak?" she asked. "Hm? Well...ordinarily I would've said yes in this situation but since I've become more...aware of humans, I understand that it is not your fault. As long as you try your best...that's all that matters to me." he told. "Thanks...that makes me feel a little better~" The two then arrived in Asami's room,"Oi...what is it this time Merlow? Another fang or claw injury go a little too deep? Or did something break?" she asked sarcastically. "She sprained her ankle pretty bad...think you can take care of her?" he asked. "Is the sky blue?" she laughed. Yael nodded and walked outside to give the two girls some privacy. "Hm? Asami...you're sweating, are you alright?" Merlow asked, siting up. "Oh, of course I'm just..." She then swayed but luckily fainted on the bed. "Oh my God....Asami! Asami!" An hour passed until the Holy Mother had awoken to worried blue eyes. "Ah! Oh my! What happened?" she asked. "You tell me! Your health has been acting up lately...have you been using too much magic or not eating when you're supposed to?" "No...why?" Merlow thought for a moment and gasped,"Oh my God...Asami...d-d-do you think you're...well....ya know..." "Ya know what? I don't understand? Is it some kind of deathly illness?" "Pregnant you idiot! Do you think you're pregnant? Did you...and with Ordell?" Asami blushed,"W-Well....when we first hooked up yes...but Ordell said we should keep our relationship under wraps after that so...Oh no...What do I do?" she asked frantically. "Okay calm down..it's not the end of the world...just erm...demons can tell this stuff well right? Maybe we should get one of them to-" "No! Because then they'll spill it to Ordell and I don't want him worrying about me...there must be something else." "Well...what about Witt? He said himself that once we leave he'll be staying here taking care of the soldiers and stuff...I think it would be safe to trust him. We have to check this out Asa....before the boys start noticing." "Right...I'll go get him..." she said, rushing off into the castle halls. She dragged the black-haired demon and sat him down on the bed beside Merlow. "What's this all about?" he asked. "Witt...we know that we've just met and everything but what we're about to tell you is a highly classified girl secret okay?" said Asami. "Um...okay..I guess that shouldn't be too hard, I won't tell a single soul!" he pledged. "Good...because this is HIGHLY classified, we need you to check if...well Asami is pregnant." Merlow said. "Holy crap...this IS big.....alright...Asami try and relax..." he said. The demon sniffed the air around her and sighed,"Oh yea....you're boned." Asami put her hands on her eyes and tears were already coming,"This is it...once Ordell finds out it's over...The Church will kick me out and my brother along with the whole world will despise me...but worst of all I'll lose that heart of a man that I love more than anything...what am I going to do?" she asked. Merlow rubbed her back and sighed,"Calm down Asami....we'll think of something, I promise. For now...let's not draw too much attention to this okay? It's been like a month right? I think for now you need to stop over exerting yourself." "But...I want to help you all..." "I think it would make Ordell even more devastated if the woman he loved along with his unborn child were to die by trying to help him. For now just try and keep calm at all times, hopefully you'll still have some time to stay here. Just relax okay?" Witt said, patting the girl's head. "B-But...what will I tell Ordi?" she asked. "I think you should wait for a little while. at least until it's the right time...I think you'll know." "Thanks guys.." she said, wiping away her tears. "No problem~ Just take care of yourself as hard as you take care of us~"

As the day wore on eventually a knock came from the castle doors late at night. The M twins walked sheepishly and answered the door together,"Hello?" they asked. "Been awhile eh kid?" a red haired woman asked. Merlon rubbed his eyes and then growled,"You! You're Fira! How in the hell did you get past security?" he barked. Fira slipped passed the children and looked around at the castle and gave a whistle,"Hyuuuu~ Your pet really knows how to live eh? Oh those dogs outside? They're in a pile of ashes..bastards actually tried to make a mark on this beautiful body, what on Para were they thinking eh?" "What do you want?" Merlow asked, gripping her fists. "Calm down sweetie pie~ I heard what happened to that idiot Alistair, he was bound to die I suppose...he was an idiot. But he is easily replaceable, I'd love to have you two come alongside me...I am quite aware that you can both world travel." "We'd rather die!" they both said together. "Hm...seems like that lovely bond is getting stronger eh? Anywaaaay~ Since you deny my offer I suppose I'll have to kill you from trying to ruin my plans eh? All of us know this world is better off in the eternal fire, why defend it?" "Because...these people are innocent! All they want to do is live their lives...they don't deserve to die for that..." Merlow growled. "Ha! Foolish girl...I can see the darkness within your heart..." Fira said, grabbing Merlow and holding her by the chin,"You desire to be freed from this place, to run away...but most of all...you desire vengeance. That's right little girl, I see what your heart truly is~" she said, fire dancing in her ruby eyes. Merlon smacked the dragoness away from his twin,"You have no right to touch her you ugly monster! If you having something to say either say it to me or make yourself to the door.." he hissed. "Of course love...Our battlefield...I've been thinking about it for a good long while and I think I've found a perfect place~ South of this continent is a large land filled with darkness and poison. No human can even survive there anymore. But this dead land is where we shall fight. Fare thee well young twins~" Fira disappeared in a huff of smoke and once she was gone the two siblings looked at eachother and sighed. In all reality, both were scared out of their minds. That morning the two confessed everything that had happened to Ordell. "What do we do?" Yael asked. "Something tells me this woman isn't as patient as Alistair...I tihnk it would be best if we left right away. Zeke, Witt...stay here understand?" The two nodded,"Sis...take care of yourself got it? You're the only family I have now..." Zeke said, holding his sister to his chest. She nodded and wiped away the tears beginning to well up. "I'll be okay...I swear it." she promised. "Well then...pack a few supplies onto Hailsky and we're setting sail to Slalom, land of the dead." Ordell announced. The whole day the group began packing and by sun down they were packed and riding the ocean seas. "How come I've never heard of this place?" Caliban asked. "Because very few people actually aware of it's presence since the 'Wave' struck the land. About a hundred years back the land was suddenly swallowed by a purple-black gas of death. Anything it touched instantly died, even Sir Lathan poured all of his time into finding out the cause but none could figure it out even after a 100 scientists and MG being sent. Their shields are said to shatter after 5 minutes but I think Lady Asami's will work better since this is her specialty." he said. The next morning the group had arrived on the dead land and already the demons were beginning to cough. "Uh...the smell is horrible.." Shinto said, burring his head into his Master's chest. Yael pulled down his goggles and covered his nose then glanced at Asami,"You ready?" She nodded and closed her eyes,"If I want this to be as strong as possible I need to concentrate...and that means someone else will need to be my senses, will that be okay?" she asked. "Yea...I brought my goggles too but I think Yael should do it since he has the best senses out of all the demons." Merlon elected. "Agreed..Get up in front and focus Yael." Ordell ordered. All around them as they moved forward were nothing but human remains and skulls, the air reeked of death and despair. Out of nowhere a ghostly black creature clawed at the shield and howled like a monster from some sort of horror movie. Merlon shot at it with Mooncica but still the creature just stood back up and clawed again. "Oh my God...this thing is gunna kill us...it must've been the thing that killed all the other scientists!" Cali guessed. Even Ordell shot at it but instead only more came. "This is it...we're going to die.."Merlow whispered. The cracks that formed due to the attacks made Asami's shield shatter like broken glass. Asami's scream echoed through the cold and lifeless land.

Chaps keep getting shorter and shorter I think...probably cause I'm doing them so fast...probably will do one good long one before I go to sleep...oh and please be aware that...THIS STORY WILL BE COMING TO AN END FAIRLY SOON! Sorry folks but that tis the way it goes. Remember that after this I'll be doing COA so lookie foward to that~
