Skull-King listened, his non-moving face never giving his feelings away. Raising his head up, he looked upon the medium, taking a moment to think of a response before he spoke.
"If I may ask, what is the price for carrying this is.."
Turning his head back, he saw the chains upon the floor over the trapdoor move themselves. The door pulled open by one of the chains above that had clamped a shackle on the lever. Bowing his head in his knelt position, he brought his staff back, and lifted the pack back over his shoulder. He also collected the bracelet he had offered with him if she did not accept it.
~Ice, the lowering of temperature, while I am in this body I feel like I should feel no threat against these things. A secret message?~
No time to think over such matters, he collected the baton and rose himself up, ruby eyes taking one more look upon the elven maiden. He turned and made his way to the trap door, descending without haste or caution.
"Does Illixtyl wish for me to find the followers of Sahn?" He spoke aloud when the trap door closed and he returned to the floor below.
The wails came back, and Rodric saw the Kyton from before, but on the ceiling. If he had turned around, he would of probably become another occupant in this prison. The forge advanced, one step after the other as he used the staff as a walking stick, his eyes going to the baton that was in his other hand, not looking at the chain devil that had attacked him earlier as he left.
He intended to leave this place, and would succeed if nothing stopped him.
