Rem looked at the human, and spoke.
"I see you've found my Death Note, Jerek." Rem smiled and pointed towards the demon hunter. " I didn't think anyone would find it."
Jerek's eyes widened.
"How did you know my name? And what is this book you call, Death Note?"
Rem laughed and picked up the small notebook on the bench.
"It's this, a book of death. Any human whos' name is written in here will die. I dropped it by pure accident. And since you've picked it up, I guess I'll be staying, unless you wish to give it back to me that is."
Jerek grabbed the notebook out of Rem's hand, and examined it.
" But to answer your second question... I'm a Shinigami so by looking at you I'll be able to see your name and lifespan. You can have this power too, if you make the "eye deal" with me. You're lucky I only have one death note. I hate humans, and I'd rather not have to stay with one. But I have to admit that the human world interests me, but I still hate the filth that inhabits it."
Jerek shrugged and looked up at Rem.
" You're pretty grotesque... but this book awakens my curiosity so I think I'll try it out." Jerek put the notebook in his bag and walked outside. The night was crisp and a slight breeze was blowing. They made it to a small tavern, and Jerek was hoping for a chance to use the notebook. As he opened the door, every eye was on him. Though, it was strange to see a demon hunter these days. His short brown hair shined in the light. He was wearing all black,a long black trechcoat, and many crosses for protection. Demon hunters preffered black because they hunted mainly at night.
Jerek picked a spot in the corner, and sat his bag down. The people had went back to they're talking and drinking. Then, Jerek looked towards Rem, whom was sitting next to him and whispered,
" Rem, tell me more about that eye deal...."
