Notes on mythology
This journal shows my personal research on various aspects of the mythological world. one week, I may focus on vampires, the next week, I may go in depth on a single story. Read only if you want. This week it's Dragons
Dragon origins
Fossils are the origin of many mythological creatures. the most notable of these creatures is the dragon. In China, theropod (meat eating dinosaurs) bones are called ,by the locals, dragon bones. The fossils are ground up and used as medicinal remedies. In greek and roman myth, Dragons (or serpents) play an integral role through the tales. The best example is the serpent that Cadmus defeated. this Greek serpent was the creature who's teeth, if planted became warriors. the dragon was also a servant of Loki. It is said to rise during ragnerok.

Hmm... I just looked up the word "intrepid" and it apparently means "brave". So, I don't get the phrase "intrepid roll". And if they play something, shouldn't it be a "role", not a "roll"? lol 3nodding

Thats a typo. I meant integral role. I just messed up on the spell cheek.
