"Yael?" "Hm?" "Can we take a break for awhile?" I nod,"Yea....you look tired anyways." She puts down her sword and actually let's her hair out of the pigtails. I see tears welling up in her eyes. "Merlow? What's wrong?" I ask. "I'm...scared...I mean...what can I do to help my brother? This is supposed to be his fight but....but..." I can see the pain and emotion coming from her eyes. She loves her brother more than herself, this I was able to deduce long ago. I'm sitting down now, sighing as I try and calm her. "Merlon knows how hard you're working...he knows you're doing your absolute best just...be patient, I'm sure he'll see all your effort in battle." She sits down beside me, her head now pushed in my chest. "I just wish he'd let me in..." It pains me whenever she says that. Someone to let her in...I think that she knows. She knows I'd let her in but...but all she wants is that damned brother of hers....I want to be jealous of him...but...that kid has no idea how his sister really feels so in a way it'd just be a waste of my energy. And she never ever let's me in....
She's my sister, I can't hurt her...or rather...I can't kill her. The object I'm aiming for? Fira. Mooncica and the King's blade clash at eachother. Whenever they make contacts sparks of black and blue emerge from their contact point. Both contain so much magic and I'm a bit worried that if we keep clashing like this that the very magic out of both the weapons will rip apart this very building. "Forgive me brother..." she whispers. One of her attacks actually cuts me on the cheek. Damn....I think Yael trained her a little too well. This must be so painful for him to watch though...having all his training go to waste like this...and then watching her faun over me. It's sickening....even to me. It's a bit difficult to notice but it's slowly becoming more apparent. My sister has magical abilities just as I but whenever she touches something, instead of drawing out the life within the object...she takes it away and absorbs it. That's why whenever she touches something it turns to black and white. I take in a deep breath and shoot a blast of wind at Merlow causing her to bash into the wall. In order to keep my sister down I zap her with a bolt of lighting then my face turns to Fira. "How disappointing...I thought she would've lasted longer...but then again, you are leagues away from that piece of trash. Very well....back to the volcano then~" She snaps her fingers and the setting reverts back to normal. "I've been waiting to get my revenge on that b***h..today is the day and buy the end of this you'll be nothing more than a statue~ But I'll spare you if you can accept my offer..." "Never!" I hiss. "Alrighty then....the shield is gone...your friends may help you if they wish but...I doubt it'll do them any good. This...arena is quite large so we'll use every aspect of it, but beware! Not everything is as it seems~" she winks. She sends red energy blasts continuously, not even needing to break. In order to dodge I'm forced to fly on Mooncica, but just as I'm about get on, I'm on Caliban's back. He looks at me with golden wolf eyes and nods for my okay, and just like that we're gone. He dodges the blasts so effortless so all I need to focus on is attacking. I spin Mooncica and send blasts of ice magic at her. Two hit her right where I need them to hit...her wings~ "Face it Fira, you've screwed yourself over by doing this~ It's waaay easier for me to win now! Wipe that smile off your ******** face!" I say as Caliban jumps right on her. She uses one of her frozen wings to block off the brunt of Caliban's pounce but I can tell...he did some damage. Her fire red eyes glowered as she countered back by pushing Caliban down to the ground. "Fine...you think that you're so amazing? Well...I wonder how you'll function without your ride?" She snapped her fingers and suddenly Caliban froze, then two seconds later he started bucking wildly. "What did you do to him?" I asked, holding on. "This brat is just a punk kid...there's no way he could handle my dark magic..in a matter of seconds, he'll be wanting to eat you alive!" she cackled. I bit my lip and cursed, sure I could fly on Mooncica but that would require a large amount of energy...plus I would need to focus on that as well. As if reading my thoughts a sand colored beast lifted me onto his back. This time it was Yael that saved me. "Let Shinto and I handle Caliban, you and Yael focus on the witch, understand?" Ordell said, reading his book. "What about Asami?" I asked,"Will she be okay by herself?" Ordell smiled and as Yael leapt towards Fira I could feel the magic within me becoming more and more powerful. Asami was powering me up...."Alright Yael...I'm trusting you." I said, petting his back. The sand fox nodded and gracefully dodged all of the attacks. He jumped onto one of the crystals and howled. He was using his sand magic.... Blast after blast were either dodged or they canceled eachother out. It almost felt like Yael and Fira were fighting eachother. I send out a blue ball of magic and just as it canceled with Fira's attack Yael leapt at her with the force of a bullet. I could actually see the ice surrounding her wing begin to crack. Fira screamed as she jumped back,"Monsters! Very well....Go my puppets....dance!" We both looked around to see Caliban fighting with Ordell and Shinto. But in the other direction, my sister was rising up from the ground, blank look in her eyes. "Dammit...." I whispered. Just as my sister was about to attack us, a blade got in the way. Asami. "I'll take her.....go get 'em guys~" she said with a smile, hair actually tied up. Yael and I nodded and began attacking the dragoness.
"Master's specialty is ice and wind magic...be careful..." Shinto said to Ordell. The soldier nodded,"I cannot fight as fast as you can..especially while he's in his wolf form, I'll trust you to attack him?" he asked. The cat demon nodded,"Yes...this is what Master would want. Stay behind and I'll keep him busy." Shinto said, running off, holding the sword Caliban had entrusted to him. The large white wolf snarled at the cat demon,"Sorry Master but....I won't go easy on you!" he said, running and attacking. Caliban held back the sword with his own forehead, making blood pour downward into his eye. "Okay..like this Master is about twice my size but....I can do it!" Caliban began clawing and snapping at him but still unable to do anything. Finally his demon magic began kicking in, forcing Shinto to step back. Shinto wiped the white hair from his forehead as he took in a deep breath while his Master was about to pounce on him. By combining his magic along with the tackle it actually caused Shinto to collide with the ground. 'Damn...more power to it than I thought...Master I think you're a little too good.' Shinto laughed. He used the sword to lift himself to the ground, unfortunately his left arm was actually broken. "Please hurry Ordell-sama....I kinda broke my arm on accident." he told. "I know...it's just with the kind of magic I'm doing...I haven't done." Shin raced around the field, coaxing his Master to chase, but this was something his Master was good at too. Caliban actually got close enough to make a pretty decent sized claw mark on his back. Shin ran up the side of the volcano's wall and jumped at his Master. He used the opposite side of his sword but it still was able to do amazing damage. After rushing at eachother and being at a standstill Ordell called out to the cat demon,"Stand back Shinto! I'm going to unleash it!" he yelled. Shinto ran to the side just as Ordell sent out the fruits of his labor. He had used summoning magic to call out the wolf spirits from the Western homeland. Because there were so many the only thing they needed to do was trample over him. When the spirits disappeared Caliban was back in his human form, body mangled but he was still very much alive. "Now....Asami..." she said.
The scenery had changed, this time to being atop the castle, Asami had her sword at the side while Merlow had hers at the ready. "Move aside..." the princess said blankly. "Never! Your brother is trying to save the world! Why would I let you stop him?" "Because...this world is better off destroyed." Merlow whispered, clashing her sword with Asami's. Each of their strikes were countered back by eachother,"Yael was a good teacher to you...yet here you are wasting his talents....such a shame. Maybe after this you'll realize just what a mistake you're making." Asami said, spinning and sending Merlow's sword to the castle. Because it was raining it only made things more difficult. "Move aside and learn your place little girl! Perhaps if I killed you and your unborn child big brother would know that I'm serious." Merlow hissed, sending a blast of magical energy at her. Asami almost fell off the illusionary castle walls, only holding on with her sword implanted within a crevice. "Oh please Lord....give me the strength I need to show Merlow the truth..." Asami sighed and actually flipped onto her sword, using it to step back onto the castle. "Tch...little prayer girl wants to give it another go? Your funeral~" Merlow taunted. Asami's light pale blue eyes remained calm as she pulled out the sword from beneath her. The two continued to slash at eachother, blades singing as they met one another. For about ten minutes the only thing anyone could see was the two girls sword fighting and trying to prevent the other from getting an advantage. "DIE! DIE! DIE!" Merlow screamed as she swung wildly. Asami however remembered everything that her teacher and her once former friend told her. 'Keep calm...pace yourself....' Finally after Asami could tell that it was alright she took in one last deep breath,"Forgive me Merlow...I just can't let you make such a horrible mistake." Asami's sword glowed a faint shade of lavender as she swung one last time. The sword unleashed a blast of lavender energy that threw Merlow to the castle wall. Just before she was about to fall off Asami picked her up and walked to Ordell. "I...did...it..." she sighed. Ordell held tight to his young bride,"Shh....shh...Just relax and wait. All our hope now lies with Merlon." he said.
While the other two had been fighting Merlon and Yael were at a stalemate with the witch. "Be damned!" she hissed,"I will not let a demon and some brat beat me....I'm not Alistair...I am invincible!" she growled, making the scenery transform. This time they were actually surrounded by stars but they were fighting inside the aurora. Yael leapt at the witch who countered with a dodge then sent a gust of icy wind at him. 'Merlon...' he said telepathically. The mage nodded and slammed his hand on Yael's back. Now covering Yael's body were strange markings, he shook off the attack and rushed once more. "Fine! Taste fire!" she yelled, blowing out white hot flames. Yael actually spun in mid air in order to dodge the attack, then he literally ran along them straight to Fira. He cut at her face making the dragoness give an ear piercing screech. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! b*****d! b*****d! MONSTER, WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?!!" she bellowed. She continued to scream but Merlon patted Yael's back and ducked down,"She's going to try and go into her finally form...try and finish her, now!" he whispered. Yael launched himself and swung at the at the dragon. His claws dug deep into her flesh but within seconds she had barricaded herself within red flames. Once Yael backed away the shield disappeared. "I curse you demon of the sands...Because of you this beautiful body is ruined! Walking on my flames....how?" she asked, blood pouring because of her wounds. "These markings aren't for show...with them, Yael can walk on anything. But of course it still burned a little, I just trusted him enough to make the right move." "Hmph I see...I now know why Mooncica trusts in you.but your little fox friend will do you no good once I transform!" She closed her wings and within a few seconds emerged as a huge red dragon, 20x Merlon's size. The beast gave a roar making the scenery transform one last time. But it wasn't something special, no this time is was the volcano. She roared once again, this time right in the young magician's face. "After this...there shall be nothing left of this world! Ahahahahaha!" she yelled, flying up into the air, actually bursting the volcano's top. Yael whimpered as Merlon jumped off of him. Merli gave one last hug and pet to his companion,"I promise...I'll come back and after this, we can go back to the castle and have a huge party! I'll be right back....I swear." he said getting on Mooncica and flying away. Still in his fox form he looked up watching Merlon fly and Mooncica leave behind sparkles. 'Come back home kid...' he whispered.
Fira had flown very high into Para's now sun-setting sky. We were far above the clouds but not yet into the ozone so it was safe to breath. "So child...are you ready for the true test? Do you think you can survive when not even the original Mooncica could not?" she asked I nodded and held tight to Mooncica,"For this world....I'd do anything, and if that means going into a stupid statue....yes." I confessed. "Very well....then die!" she barked, sending a huge blast of fire at me. With a swift dodge I sent her attack right back at her but of course it horribly missed. Asami was still pouring her energy inside of me, still boosting my strength, I wondered if it was the baby that was giving her so much energy. If she was trying so hard even though she exhausted herself fighting my sister I knew I had to give it 1000%!! As we fought along beside the sun I could feel the strength within me get stringer and stronger. Just the thought of the others kept me going. Fira snapped her huge fangs at me but somehow I was able to hold her back, only with my two arms mind you. I could see the fire below her trachea starting to come up. I let Mooncica drop into my left hand and just as the fire was about to shoot out I sent it right back inside her. This actually caused her to fall down, straight into the ocean in fact. Our crash was pretty painful but not only did I continue to hold on tight, I managed to hold my breath. I used Mooncica as a sword and stabbed through Fira's diamond-thick skin. Her blood had mixed with the water actually making it impossible to see so I let her flail around until she flew back up into the air. "You...insolent child! How dare you?! With this....you'll die and I'll be rid of that damned Mooncica!" she yelled at me. She bumped me down to her tail but I still held on for dear life. She flew higher and higher into the air until it got hard to breath. "Die...die.....DIE!" she said. She breathed out a stream of fire and began flying around in a complete circle while she spun. As we spun inside the fiery circle of hell I thought my very body would just melt straight down to the ocean. I could feel cuts from the wind and speed and then the fiery heat make them feel even more painful. If I was going to pull something out from my a** it needed to be good and it needed to happen now. With a single twirl of Mooncica, I climbed up to Fira's head and looked right at her. My sapphire eyes meeting with her fiery rubies. "What brought the house down?" I sang. I slammed Mooncica right into the center of her head. That made everything stop. She stopped breathing fire, stopped flying, stop speaking, then fell down into the night sky. I felt so tired and in so much pain that I wanted to die right there but luckily the thought of my family urged me forward. As we both darted downward at about the same speed as a bolt of lightning I separated myself from her body and layed down on Mooncica. Fira's body crashed down on the mountain's summit, nearby where my friends were watching. As I floated down I remembered thinking and wondering what would happen. I saw the wyverns began to fly upward, finally free of Fira's control they'd likely return o their original homes. But what would happen to me now that I had rectified my mistake? Would I live out the rest of my days as a commoner? Or as a King? As I thought of these things I heard my sister's sweet voice as she held me tight. "Big brother....I'm so glad...I'm so glad." I also remembered seeing her smiling and tear-stained face be replaced with a look of sheer surprise. Almost as though she had seen a ghost. It was all slow motion for me but I felt it. A single blade mere millimeters from my heart. It's holder surprised me, because it had belonged to someone I thought I'd never see again. Someone who I was sure had been long dead. Looking down at me with eyes filled with no feeling or life to them was Lucille. The girl who started it all.....the girl who my sister despised more than anything. And the girl who had just killed my twin sister. Lucille.....
