Okay, so I went to Ireland earlier this summer as some of you know. And I took so many lovely pictures and I want to show them off. Some of these pictures will make you laugh, some will make you say "Oooh", and some will show you that I am a camera whore. heart
Let the Irish photos begin!
This old 15th century castle is actually now a hotel. I got to stay there one night, it was pretty inside too. I wanted to live there.
I was bored in the car. Yeah.
In the Irish countryside there are many fine cows and sheep. Here is a cow. Moo, dude.
This was a ruin of a old church and its graveyard. On the edge were some more recent graves, which was creepy.
We found a donkey on one walk. My mom is hiding behind me, can you see her? That donkey tried to eat us.
I took this as the Irish countryside was zooming past the car. Or maybe the car was zooming past it. Um, I dunno.
An intentionally blurred shot of some plants in The Burren. The Burren= the place where there are fields of limestone and plants growing between the rocks. Some wildflowers only grow in this area.
A shot of some plants in the Burren on the side of the road. The road was like empty which was nice because we got to enjoy the Burren.
Fields of limestone. From far off the Burren looks like solid rock.
Some weird cactus looking wildflower. I loved it, so I took a picture. :]
Near my hotel in Lisdoonvarna (best town name ever) there was a place where they smoked salmon. They had this statue outside. It scared me very much.
WARNING: CAMERA WHORE PICTURES
Bored while waiting for tour at the Wicklow jail. Decided to play with camera.
Still bored. Using mom's sweater as a pillow.
Bored. And I'm giving YOU the STARE. Whoa.
Still bored, still waiting. Awh, now I'm blowing you a kiss.
Last bored picture. My parents told me to stop playing with the camera. Anyway: BIG NASTY TEETH!
END CAMERA WHORE PICTURES
I just like this picture of the sky. It looks sliced up by the telephone wires.
That's my mouth. I wanted to take some shot like that and I got it while in Ireland. Whee.
A pretty reflection in the water. That was near the B&B I was staying at.
Finally in Dublin, the capital of Ireland and the coolest place there. The countryside was nice but I'm a city girl at heart and there was so much cool stuff to do in Dublin. From museums to shopping trips. xD
This was part of a robot art show called Save the Robots. This one was called "You Move Me", there were diffrent levers and each one moved a different part. It was like a mechanical puppet.
This is the Footsbarn traveling theater. I got to see an amazing production of The Tempest here. Afterwords we started talking with the director and it turns out we had seen his production of Hamlet at home. He bought us drinks (I got soda, wine for my parentals).
The plaque for the house where Bram Stoker lived. It was a private house so we couldn't come in. Many famous writers are from Ireland, lived in Dublin, and went to Trinity college.
Trinity college is the most famous college in Ireland. It also has the Book of Kells in its possesion, which is a famous illuminated text. I got to see it. This is only one building on campus, I took pictures of most of them but this is my favorite.
And last but not least....
Emo: the gas station chain.
Well, those are my favorites. I hope you liked them. [:
