This is something that I wrote a while ago and I decided to throw it up here. It is probably gonna suck but here goes:

Little heart with broken wings
Tattered, ripped, and torn.
Locked away with other things
Forgotten and forlorn.

Once it flew so very high
But lost its way and crashed.
And now it cannot touch the sky
It's dreams having been dashed.

Then one day someone found it
Someone who heard its cries.
Someone who wished to see it
Fly in the great blue skies.

They took it from its darkened hell
Showed it saw things in a new light.
To see the world outside its cell
It was a very great delight.

Little heart with mended wings,
No longer ripped or torn
In his loves hands it sings,
It will never be alone.
