Of Plans, Naptime, and Facing the Past
Rose: Plans

Rose nodded, so Lord Avondale knew that she would ask for him. But she was also working on a few things for Wolf.

A moment later, and the issues caused by him hitting a strange creature Shal called a Staruda were fixed. The neurological problem was more of a short that anything else, but one especially sensitive in... werewolves. Rose hated it when her years of schooling in magical backgrounds actually helped her. She resented it a little.

Healing Wolf the rest of the way, it was then up to the strength of his will to return to consciousness. Rose had to keep a steady stream of energy flowing through the line until he did, however, which took a bit of concentration.

"Shal, Avondale asks if there was any way to beat the thing before, and how? Also, I'm sure he would want to know if you think you can do it again." Rose certainly hoped she could.

Taran: Naptime

Taran sighed as n** climbed up the ladder, and waved off his intended apologies before he could even mutter them. He had known she was a logical and understanding person- all Dragoons had to be- but he was mildly surprised at her tolerance, as well. He simply smiled.

When she picked up her wand, and seemed happy and back to normal, Taran nodded.

"Well, we'll be there soon enough. Flan is up on the command deck. You can join her there, but I believe we are safely on autopilot. And I... I think I am going to rest my eyes for a little while." he said, nodding, as if the idea had just occurred to him.

He walked out of the crew area, and into the sitting area outside the infirmary. There was a large couch there, and he plopped right down onto it. He was feeling a little tired, but, as usual, he looked older than he felt. Many people assumed that his white hair came with age, and he let them. It was a good excuse to be... odd. And wanting a nap fit that perfectly. So much so, that he had to do it just to seem old. They'd been up for days, after all. So Taran took a cat-nap on the sofa.

Se'rox: Facing the Past

Se'rox could not sleep, and though she'd made herself a tiny area that seemed would be perfect for it, she could not relax, either. She felt like ripping herself apart, even though the logic of it failed her completely.

She played through the words Zuchax III had said, many many times over in her head.
Zuchax III
"I know I have disappointed you, dear Se'rox." Zuchax III had said to her. "However, you may be disappointed for a completely different reason than you know. I lost myself, and instead of trying to let you, the one closest to my soul aside of myself, heal my wounded psyche, I ran away, hoping that you would not be damaged in the process. Unfortunately, Xeona's reflexes are that of a paranoid tigress in heat, so she got me before I could regain my sanity. I know not if you want me to be killed or if you want me to stay around, but I will do neither. My death isn't so easily made as.. other people..." He had paused, clutching his chest and coughing up a bit of blood. "Excuse me, I believe Chazu has died. I best be getting my hair ready for such a ceremony."

She could not stand this- him actually believing that she either wanted him to stay or to die, but he wasn't sure which.

Se'rox screamed from inside her small mudhut, at the insanity she felt her mind had melted into, and at the pain she felt, as if she really were dying.

"This is madness!" Se'rox yelled at the world. The world did not respond.

She broke open her mud hut, and stood out in the open.

"Here!" she called out to no one, or anyone who might be there. "Here I am at last! Broken, but alive. Have your revenge on me- you might as well!"

She was startled suddenly not by a sound, but by the feeling of two feet touching the ground softly but suredly.

She stared at the spot, as the creature who had landed came to a complete stop, finally standing with all weight on the ground.

"Really?" the person asked. It was female, and almost as curious as it was bitterly ironic. Unfortunately, that told Se'rox nothing, following her last visit to Kaitan. "Because I seem to remember someone who did not completely exist who was determined that the universe held nothing that would be able to stop her, even if she lived without a heart, or who could ever be no more than-"

Se'rox interrupted, "- a shadow of life."

Se'rox, on an illogical impulse, ran towards the voice, and enveloped the speaker in a large hug. Her pain did not disappear, nor did it lessen. But she felt as if it had another outlet, and when the flood water inside her was ready to drain out, it would.

"I don't think you're a shadow, Se'rox." Nealiminity said, holding Se'rox as tightly as the Nobody held her back. "I've always said so."

Se'rox simply nodded, her face still buried in Nealiminity's bosom.

Nealiminity patted her head, and wondered. What the crap happened to her? She is acting as if her life were over- but she's fine. If it were any normal girl I'd suspect-. Nealiminity's eyes widened slightly, before she closed them completely.

"Hush now, sweety. It's going to be all right. Hush."

n**: I'd expect you want some sleep. No need to feign oldness.

Flan: <I kind of resent that. >
