This may seem like an obvious statement, but I need to vent, so shut the ******** up. -_-
It's my little brother's birthday. He's eight. Mom spent AT LEAST $200 on his presents. We went out to dinner, and he's having a party.
Guess how much they spent on MY birthday? $0.00. They weren't even HOME. Nor were either of my brothers. There was no family dinner, cake, or anything of that sort. I got a phone call, "Happy birthday, make sure you feed the dog." Oh, thanks, I feel so much better, now. I didn't get $200 worth of gifts, I'd settle for a birthday card at this point!
They did say they'd get me a new phone, but that isn't something I want, OR need. I HAVE a phone, it WORKS, and I LIKE IT. I do not need a $150 phone, like the rest of the world seems to. I am content with my brick-like, hammer-quality, pay-as-you-go phone.
Sad thing is, two months later, I still haven't gotten the new phone. *deadpan*
The only person who DID get me anything was John, and he bought me Mt. Dew. ^.^ And... a candy whip, but THAT is an inside joke.
OK. I'm done, now.
