I went to see this with my Mom over the weekend. It was pretty interesting. The premise is a woman must find a way to save her home and keep her family together after her husband runs off with their money. She meets a Mohawk woman involved in smuggling and they team up. The three main characters are well drawn, including the teenaged son, the relationship is interesting and the snowy vistas well shot. It is a buddy movie, of course, but with a lot of commentary on race and the desperation of the poor. The main story is nothing I hadn't seen before, but the specificity of location and the characterizations made it interesting.
