My world turned red
The healing fissures in my heart break anew
As I bleed love for the first time
I try to catch every drop
To preserve something that made me feel so alive
In that pool of happiness I caught to cherish
My reflection is a mirage of the past
The sight of your face makes it hard to breathe
I feel my lungs collapsing
My soul freezes over
I crumble to my knees
Closing my eyes I accept fate
Yet hope remains
Eventually this red will dissipate
I will breathe in; life renewed
