I have to run, run real fast
I have run til my nightmare is done
If I make it to that tree maybe it'll past.
I made it!!
Im looking left I'm looking right
Looking for the thing that I must fight
I can hear it breathe, I can hear it growl
This nameless beast is on the prowl.
On the prowl looking for a kill
Unfortunately Im its next meal
I have no weapon I have no tricks
All I have is a match and some dry sticks
Its circling me I feel it watching
I know its there I can hear it stalking
Circling closer to me
How do I know I can see it through the trees.
It attacks so fast, it attacks so quick
I even light my dry wood stick
I hear its roar, its mighty cry
And from that I know Im going to die.
I can feel its body heat
So ever close to me. A few drops of saliva falls down on my shirt.
Everything stops. Why am I not in pain? Why aren't I hurt?
The stands in front of me in all its beastly glory.
Stranding infront of me as I tell this rhyming story
The beaast died right there at my feet
But how did I accomplish this feat?
I dont know. I never will.
How can the monster die by its helpless kill?
