Going along the path of the beast
Lions and tigers roar at our feet
Truly a place so wondorous can only exist beyond us
On the far side of shimmering skies
Wanders a boy with hope in his eyes
But he is trapped by loneliness-- a casket from which he cannot arise
Can our weakness truly go unseen?
Father, will I ever know myself?

To chase the backs
Of elder brothers who have gone before me

Here in the wild the gales will blow,
Butterflies live and flowers do grow
Spring seems to bloom unendingly, but it is bold illusion
Though it is true, my flesh has a stain
Made by a force I cannot explain
It is a turbid purity-- so murky that it doesn't have name
