Another week another pointless entry. I've been noticing lately the long posts of some people on Twitter and I'm wondering if some of them don't use it for short-hand blogging. Seems like a misuse of media to me but oh well. So lately I've been getting more and more into school work, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it is a little sad since I'd much rather be playing something. I'm having a good run with the work I've been getting though, my group for animation is going very well, and I'm very excited to see the finished product. My art history class, I've been less than pleased with. It would seem obvious to me that "modern" art and animation would clash horribly in idea and stylistic opinions, making the class almost like torture to those of us not classified as "real artist" (That's a quote, someone has actually said that to me -.-) I'm not saying that learning about the history of art is a waste of time, I'm saying that TESTING someone on something that is very much SUBJECTIVE is ridiculous and borderline insane. This isn't MATH, it's ART, there is NO RIGHT ANSWER. *sigh* of course there's nothing I can do about it but spew bullshit out of my mouth and pray for it all to go away. Moving on. My organized crime class is going very well, I like this teacher a lot, though the class has some people in it who I would classify somewhere between frat house bouncer and pre-school reject but they don't speak THAT much, so I can't complain. (Unlike the bubbly girls from my History of Dinosaurs class that seemed mystified as to why the class was about dinosaurs. I kid you not.) Lastly, my Native North Americans class is no where near what I expected, with a liberal ex-hippy for a teacher and a focus on the nature of man rather than history. Funny stories about the 1970's abound.
In other news I've gotten my hands on a copy of Starcraft once again (Thank you Andres XD) and I am EVER so pleased. I've been showing my boyfriend how to use siege tanks and tactical nuclear strikes all day. There's nothing like playing a game in 640x480 that brings you back to your childhood. All I need is some Power Rangers and Dunk-a-Roos to make my trip to the past complete. Speaking of games, I've picked up Zelda:Twilight Princess and Resident Evil 4 to play. I've gotten through Zelda and thoroughly enjoyed it. The only thing I'm sad about is them taking out Garudos. I liked them. However, everything else........spot on. I'm a bit into Resident Evil, enough to have nightmares about centipede men and zombies trying to eviscerate me. The game's a bit intense, so I've been taking a break for a little before going back to it. All in all so far, I like it but I would have liked a little more zombie and a little less......alien whatever in the style.
In Domo news I've gotten the classes to 25 that I wanted and am now back to getting my BladeMaster up to 30 for light armor. I've also picked up a few nifty trinkets, like a few new costumes (Traditional Dress and Wild Leather) and some accessories (A Dorabimon and Batwing Headgeaer). The guild has fallen a bit to pieces though, which I'm not TOO surprised about but still a little sad. A few of the members and I are working on putting it back together, so if you play and would like to join pm me on Sapphire, ING ~Celeste~
That's about it for news for me, if you want to chat go ahead and leave me a message or IM me. ^.^

SJ
