Of Messengers from an Angry Mom, and No Holding Back
Rose and the Messengers of an Angry Mom

Rose didn't really notice the portal opening in her house. Not when she was trying to discern part of a conversation Wolf was having with someone else. He had been completely quiet, in fact, until he had sounded like he had said Wynn's name. But he wasn't talking to Rose. So all she heard was an echo of an echo of a mumble. So she tried as hard as she could to listen in. She hardly paid this realm any attention whatsoever.

So when people started talking around her, she growled slightly in frustration. All she could make out from Wolf, really, was that he was talking to someone. She had thought he had said "brother", or was that "mother"? But she was almost certain she had heard him say, and then almost finish the short conversation with, "home". Maybe Wolf has found her, and is telling her he's going to take her home! Rose thought. And at that thought, she let her concentration diminish back to normal again, and she caught part of what was being said by what turned out to be Nogard and Xangord.

She picked the conversation up at something about being dipped in blood and spit... which thankfully Xangord translated into normal-ese for Rose; that they were Dragon-God essences. Rose noticed Nogard was still talking, and winced about the Skully changing Shal part.

"Umm, ya. We did kinda pick up on something like that." Rose said. She wanted to wince, but she didn't. This wasn't Dragon she was explaining to. Just Shal's other Aunts. "Seems she's got some pretty special dark abilities. I don't know beyond that, but I think," she paused to look at Lord Avondale to include him on this bit, "that without her, they would never have located Wynn. Which I think they are working on a rescue plan now with." Rose paused. This was the tricky part.

"They were supposed to be able to just come back through the line. But Shal kinda... cut herself off a long time ago. So until they come back to the starting point, where there will be a stronger bond, I'm not sure I can get them all back here."

Taran: No Holding Back

Taran had followed n** as she had said. But he didn't like the sound of n** being able to smell spilt dragon blood. The human blood could be understood... but if the dragons were the ones they were there for... well... this was not a game at all anymore.

As the hatch opened, he was fairly surprised by the harpoon point that sprouted in n**'s back, and she said something that didn't phase Taran. But n** being yanked out of the bay into a mob of what looked like zombie people but reeked of the stench of n00b only served to solidify Taran's intentions.

Giving up the facade was easier than he had thought. He hadn't changed back to his original form for... close to 45 years. Not the longest he had gone as human. But it only took him three steps and about four seconds to change completely.

The n00bs that had begun to run toward him on the bay slowed after his first step, as he grew about twice his size and started turning completely white. At his second step, his form stretched out horizontally, and wings and a tail were noticeable. By now, some of the (smarter) n00bs were turning to run away. On his third step, Taran the white dragon opened his jaws and let out a torrent of lightning that incinerated more than a few handfuls of the pesky humans, and he stepped on and crushed a few more as he headed toward where he saw two people who were definately not n00bs. One, they had clothes that cost more than 20 gold. And two, they both had blue tails and water wings.

Letting out a few more blasts of lightening while heading to the two, Taran glanced over at n**. At least, he assumed the porcupine that was de-facing n00bs was n**. Who else could it be? She seemed to not notice the multiple wounds for now. And being what she was... she might even survive it. More than Lizbeth and Creighton were going to survive without help.

Within a few more seconds- perhaps half a minute total since the hatch opened, the n00b-tide swept away most of the n00bs from around Lizbeth and Creighton.

Two of the ones that remained were quickly crushed underfoot. Another was knocked by a talon into a nearby rock, and three more had become human shish ka-bobs. The other eight only survived long enough to trip over each other trying to run before forked lightning strung through them like a strand of glowing pearls.

Then Taran knocked a pesky spearhead off the bottom of his foot, and bowed his head to Lizbeth and Creighton.

"I am to escort you to safety and back to friends and family." Taran said respectfully. "If you'll follow me?" he asked. He was not sure how badly they'd been injured, and was prepared to carry them if necessary. The stupid n00bs were already slowing their retreat, and sooner or later, a few of them were going to think that they could slay a dragon. That would be quite a nuisance.

Oh great, everyone's partying at Rosey's house.....

Except of course, crazy white dragons..... If he has blue eyes, I'm going to spank your IRL self, Rosey.
