OK, where did we leave off? I know, I know, it’s been more then a day. Let’s see, I was reporting to Leon about the “battle plans”. However, the next time I played there was a character wipe, so I fond the translucent joy of replaying the whole damned game. Anyways, back to the battle plans. I go to Leon, and he tells to let some chick look at him because he’s stupid and women are superior. Actually, it’s actually just that! Anyway, I head off and meet her. She stays that the Animated gnomes are just trying to copy humans. Maybe that’s true for the gnomes north of the camps, but not down south. Thus proving the north gnomes are the stupid guys that got kicked out.
I go back to Leon. He agrees with my theory that the north ones are dumb. He tells me to off some gnome lieutenants, which I do. Y’know, Leon could have TOLD ME it has to be ONE FROM EACH AREA! I spent a looooong time wondering why the gnomes I killed didn’t count and dying because of it. So I go, kill the living snot out of those suckers, and continue on my merry way. Leon tells me that I should help out some Remo with a few quests. Oh, and he says “bring some strong friends”. Oh, hey, the Helpful Hints Mallet is still around. It’s been too long. Ow. He also says he’s going to give me a ring…which I never get. EVER.
I take a break to finish the interview with Julian. Thanks to the data wipe, I had to redo the whole thing, BUT they all let me interview them one after another instead of waiting around for the idiots to get it. Julian basically tells us someone fell down the well. Well, he violently denies it which is the same thing. I think I just got hit with a Plot Mallet. I go back to Cindy, get my reward, and finish the quest. YAY! Did I mention they have the weird pumpkin graphics up now?
I also do the Painting Girl Quest. I can’t remember her name, but let’s call her PG. PG tells me that the light is “perfect” and I should tell her friends she’s cancelling out on them. Those friends include Agatha and some Music Man (?). Oh, and as a fellow artist, I completely symphonize with PG. Anyway, this seems to happen a lot to PG, Agatha and Music Man aren’t very surprised. I head back and get rewarded.
Now onto Remo. First he wants me to kill ten flamingoes. This isn’t too hard because my rings are upgraded to the point where I can kill them in two hits. I get mobbed a lot, so I do have to kill more then I wanted to. Overall, it was an easy task so Leon must have been on crack when he said I would need some friends. However, my character claims that it was a hard task. Oh, baby, that hurt hasn’t even started yet. I have to kill mushroom cannons. Insert your own innuendo here; I can think of a few corny ones. What’s worse, I can’t just kill a few and get it over with. Oh no, we couldn’t have that. I have to get two drop of what looks like something I’d rather say. No one told me that these drops are rare. I guess this is what Leon meant by needing some friends. Anyways, after dying many painful deaths, upgrading my rings, and being KS’d fifty million times, I get the damned ‘armor’. After returning to Remo, he tells me HE DIDN’T NEED IT. It was a test to see if I was a decent fighter. He does give me a recipe, though.
WHAT. THE. ********. I go though all that just to be made fun of? Remo is on my hate list. Really, I’m pissed.
Anyways, he tells me to kill ‘The General’. He is one mean son-of-a-b***h. I never got to kill him. None of my zETA friends logged on to help me. I was always brutally murdered by lawn gnomes before I even so much as saw the thing. I also never had time to zETA test again.
Pitiful endings are pitiful, right? Well, I have decided to release my somewhat short zETA stories after zOMG is released. Today the head start tickets got in. When my wave--Gaia, 2oo6--is allowed on, I shall put these entries on in public. See you in the game, folks!
