Well damn, I missed the bus this morning. So where am I now? The library, duh. I don't mind, I need an extra day off, I'm getting a bit stressed from school, and I could use a day off, I didn't really get one to enjoy this weekend.
Sunday morning, I woke up pretty late. My cousin Justin was coming to drop by and say hello with his girlfriend, Anna. He's from London, and they're on some tour trip event, I think it's called a "fly and drive". From what he told us, he flew to Los Angeles, a 10 hour flight, and now they're moving to a different destination every day in the southwest, and today they were scheduled in Las Vegas, so he wanted to come visit with us for a while.
So, when I had gotten out of the shower, he was already there. It was good to see him again, he hadn't changed much since the time we saw him 3 years ago. Anna was very nice, I had a good impression he picked a winner. xp
We called up John to tell him we were gonna be picking him up, but Dad and Kelly ended up showing the two of them their wedding video. I took Sophia up to my room, cause man, I'm sorry but I'm sick of watching it, if I hadn't been there, I would still know everything as if I had.
Sophia really liked Justin and she seemed to approve of Anna, and they loved her to death as well. I'm glad this whole story is finally out in the open, since John told Justin about this whole thing, so he's obviously relayed the message to everyone back in London, so now my dad needs to finally get off his a** and face the music, about procrastinating in terms of telling Grandma exactly "how we're doing".
After about being an hour late, and Sophie starting to get fussy, I reminded them that we were now 45 minutes behind picking up John, so we headed out to his apartment. Of course, my brother's not one for great big greetings, but it was nice to get everyone together now. We were going to the Olive Garden near John's house, this seems to be the place we take everyone. We did it with Kelly's parents and Meghan back when they came to stay for that month. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, where they had clear windows that you could see outside of. There seemed to be a lot of kids there, so I guess they stuck us here where we could make noise because of Sophia.
I tore through my food just like I always do, but I hadn't eaten breakfast of course, so I sort of had an excuse. Sophia was having a great time in her car seat carrier, she was squealing just like at the circus. We got some looks, but we thought it was too cute to care, and if it was your kid you'd like it too, so deal with it. We sat and talked after dinner in there for like an hour, and the hostess was real nice, but she did that thing everyone does if you have a baby. Stop and mess with her and talk to her. Now, this is nice the 1st 100 times it happens, but after a while, you wanna snatch her away and point a laser at them.
"Back off!! I'll make you Fun Size!"
We left the restaurant and said our goodbyes in the parking lot, they still had to enjoy Las Vegas a little, they were gonna leave for Death Valley at like 7 the next morning. So we waved them off, and headed home. That's it for now, I'm hoping the teachers post the assignments on Edline or something so I can still get them done.
