Well, now that the lame intro is over with...I'll start talking about actual things that may interest you.
I'd thought I'd celebrate one of my all time favorite books becoming a movie by describing how "I met the Twilight Series." If this topic makes you feel nauseous, I'll make the first word of the next topic green so you can skip through my chatter.
Okay, so I know that Twilight has basically been ruined for the world at large by the large amount of girls drooling over Edward. Honestly? Edward has NO personality. (Please don't kill me Twilight fans. I love the books, but you can't deny it.) I know that I had been told to read it many, many times before the day I actually picked it up. My friends, the librarians, random people..... I remember finding a forum once about it and thinking what weird names the characters had.
Anyway, last June, my family planned to take a trip across the USA, much to my great disapproval. I knew that I would need something to read so that I wouldn't go insane. I had mentally run through my list of books that had been suggested to me and remembered Twilight. Still, it held no interest to me.
To take a break from our packing, my mother, sister, and I went to go see a movie at my favorite mall. I don't remember what movie it was. But what I DO remember is that there was one trailer in particular showing that interested me. I was very surprised when the title "Twilight" flashed across the screen.
So, once the movie was over, I took a chance and bought a paperback copy of Twilight from the nearby bookstore, hoping I'd like it.
I packed it in my suitcase and proceeded not to read it until the second or third day of driving. Then, I was instantly hooked. I think the author is a good writer, with good characters (except for Edward) and an original way of looking at the classic vampire legends.
My twilight addiction proceeded to make me buy a copy of New Moon in the beautiful town of Denver, Colorado after searching for a good time for a book store. I finished this with great haste, completely done with it by the time we reached Salt Lake City, Utah. This meant I was trying to read while my parents drove us to Mount Rushmore, drove us through some of the national parks (I stopped reading for Yellowstone. THERE WAS BISON LESS THAN A FOOT AWAY FROM OUR CAR!), and pointed out the local scenery.
I bought a copy of Eclipse (hard back, to prevent damage) in a bookstore near our hotel. I must admit, my favorite book and place we visited on our trip are linked....I loved Salt Lake City. Eclipse is by far my favorite. I did not allow myself to read Eclipse until we boarded the train that took us to California. I finished the book quickly, and thus had to resort to rereading.
My Twilight journey stretches from almost coast to coast, because I bought Breaking Dawn back in my hometown.
I'm done talking Twilight, you can come out from under your rocks.
Why don't we talk about...the election!
Well, personally, I'm glad its over. Now the stupid politicians will stop calling us (though we still get calls from people taking polls. GAH!) One of my friends supported (and continues to support) O'Bama by wearing a special O'Bama mask all over gaia. Needless to say, this causes many people to talk to him like he is a politician, often cursing at him. It sorta makes me laugh......
GAH! DAWN! STOP TALKING ABOUT POLITICS! Sigh. Politics are bad for your blood pressure. A kid in my French Class spent a LONG time arguing with my teacher about communism. He seems to think the word communist is an insult and uses it constantly as an insult. (?!?!?)
Well, that's it for tonight. I gotta do my history homework, 'cus the teacher always gives us quizzes on the notes we have to take.
Comments are must appreciated, except if they are extremely rude. I can take criticism, but don't be EXCESSIVE!
Comment please!

Very kewl and well written, I must say. I'm sure it took you a very long time to write it, and I know you probably put a good deal of thought into your entry. WHOOHOOO!

Dawn, I luff you!! Haha. Maybe I SHOULD BE excessively rude! Lol. Except that there is nothing to be rude about. Mmmm. I agree with the Edward has no personality thing, but Bella doesn't have one either. I hadn't thought about it until I read an (pretty much HILARIOUS) article about it =] lol. i'll send a link to it in a PM ^-^ Luff you lots!
