Day Two
Lets see, not much happened today, but it was interesting.
Woke up around 8:30 and had a German style breakfast, it was good. After breakfast we sat around and waited for my Aunt, her husband and the baby to come over from the hotel, seeing that there were not coming until later we decided to do some exploring.
My grandfather took us through Gram (or Graham, however it is spelled), Swepsonville, and Burlington. Burlington is supposed to be a rather large city.
*blink*
I'm not sure where they get large. Its pretty spread out, but not a lot of city action. People park on the grass, and it reminds me of Santa Ana, but really spread out. And ten times more churches.
We went to this one German supermarket and got stuff. My grandparents mainly got beer and wine. A lot of beer and wine. I got some food that will last me for the rest of the trip. I miss all the brands I am used to working with at the store at home...I miss Dr Pepper.
After that we went to the town cemetery to see my Great Grandmother, or thats what I think she is. They put her in the mauselom (I know its misspelled). Its MUCH smaller than at Fairhaven, but its haunted as hell. I love the feeling I get when I go into those things, even being in the cemetery was nice. There are flowers on almost every single grave, and there are no standing headstones on the premises.
There is this cemetery on the way to the house, its the kind you normally see in movies. Its so old and it goes RIGHT up to the street. No fences of ANY kind. Andrea would kill to do some hunting in a place like that. I might stop by sometime and take pictures.
After that we went to the mall, and I got manga. In fact my grandfather bought me Full Metal Alchemist 2, while my dad got me Gunslinger Girl 1. I got reading material at least. From the mall we went to Taco Bell. I cried at the sight of something familiar and close to my little heart.
From there we went back to the house. I spent some time online and trying to answer email before getting uber tired and falling asleep for about two hours. When I woke up, my aunt and her husband were already at the house. Then about an hour later we went to Chinese.
Chinese was no Sam Woo, thats for sure. But it was good. Too bad I couldn't eat much of it.
So now I am sitting here wasting more time. I need to start downloading Quicktime again. I have to finish all my chapter four work before the 9th.
