Dear Dumb Diary
This is just like a... I'll just tell ya what happened at school, or what stupid thing my neighbor did.
OMFSB!! I had to write a story for class, and it was my very 1st love story. It's called Archie Smith: Boy Wonder, and my teacher, Ms. Noland, wouldn't let my main character die, so I had to make it a little different. But I abousolutely hate my story. But so you can agree with me, here it is.
Archie Smith:Boy Wonder
“Lucinda…” a little glow of light lit up the small room. It flew around, trying to find this “Lucinda.” “I’m over here!” she whispered. Lucinda started digging through toy chests, doll houses, and drawers. The little fairy shoved by anything in her path. “Ok…STOP!!” the other fairy shouted. Lucinda stopped, and dropped the toys. Her gleaming body, started to dim, knowing she was in trouble. They stared at the giant bed. (Well, compared to them.) The tiny voice asked, “Could he be the one?” A boy, lying in the bed, twisted and turned. They flew by him a couple times, trying to see if it was really him. ‘I sense that he is. Do you think Meredith will think the same?” they swung over him 1 last time, then left for home.
“Right, sorry…” Lucinda said. She flew back over to the giant mess she made, and zapped it up like that.
“Get the ball!” a kid shouted. Archie Smith sprinted for the baseball that flew far out. If he was lucky, it would fall into his glove. He had it, then as soon as it’s under his mitt, it bounces off the tip and onto a girl’s lap. She sat on the bench and read her book. When the ball hit her, she didn’t freak out, she just threw it and then it landed right in his glove. Archie started walking off, leaving her in peace. “You’re supposed to say, I’m sorry, “ she said, still looking down at her book. “Earth to boy?” He turned around and noticed that her ring was under his feet. He picked it up and gave it to her. “You’re really smart,” she said sarcastically, “Thanks.” Archie just stared at her, blank in the face. “You’re supposed to say you’re welcome.” She heard no response, so she just walked away. Bumping into him, and making him make a whole circle. He watched her walk away, still quiet. “Archie,” one of the team members started, “Her name’s Cameron Reed. Solid…ok, that sounded so gay.” everyone just rolled their eyes. “She moved here a month ago. There was many break-ins where they lived. She’s lived in the South most of her life. So she’s from like, down there somewhere. She’s 12 going on 13. Got a late in the year birthday.” another member explained. They looked at him as if he were crazy. All they did, was ignore it, and continued their game.
“Lucinda! Puck!” a deep voice shouted among the trees. “Coming, your grace!” Puck shouted. The small glows of light lit up the forest. “Good. Now, did you get the boy?” the deep voice asked. “Well, we sensed that he wasn’t the one,” Lucinda blurted. “Deep Voice” emerged from the fog that kept it covered. There stood a women, about in her 20’s, and she didn’t look to evil. “You were supposed to get him!” her voice changed. it went from dark and evil, to soft, with just a dab of anger. “But he wasn’t the one!” Lucinda yelled over the branches that quivered through the forest. The crunching sound of the branches got even louder. Then, they started to rise. Higher and higher the branches got. Soon, they rapped around Lucinda’s and Puck’s neck. They pulled tighter and tighter, nearly choking them. “Bring me the boy, or you will suffer a long, painful death!” the women shouted. “Yes, Meredith,” Lucinda squealed. The branches dropped, giving them a chance to catch their breath. The 2 tiny, balls of light scattered off into the dark forest, hoping that the boy would be asleep.
“Archie, time to go to bed, honey,” Archie’s mom said, “You’re still watching this. Pirates are so boring.” Archie’s TV was playing Pirates of the Caribbean. His mom pulled him onto his feet, then he immediately hopped into bed. “Now, night, Archie, boy wonder,” his mom whispered. “Mom, I told you to stop calling me that when I was 7...I’m now 13! So stop!” Archie demanded. His mom just walked away, leaving him to sleep. He sank into his covers, and went to sleep in one blink. “Puck! I found the right house!” Lucinda shouted. “Shut up! He can hear us!” Puck yelled. “You don’t have to shout…” Lucinda declared. Puck rolled his eyes, and tried to open the shut window. “A little help, Princess Dimwit!” Lucinda tried to help Puck open the window. It wouldn’t budge. “I think it’s locked,” Lucinda whispered. “NO WAY, CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!!” Puck shouted. More rolling of the eyes, and the stupider Lucinda got. They started to head back to the forest, when they heard the sound of guitar. “A window, under his, I can tell,” Lucinda blurted. She flew down to the floor under his room. There, on a sofa, sat Cameron playing the acoustic guitar. She sang so soft and beautifully. “Wow, she’s really pretty!” Lucinda said. “Do you think?” Puck flew in silence, staring into the dimmed light of Cameron’s room. “Whatcha looking at?” Lucinda asked, staring where he was staring. “I can sense a vibe in this room. I don’t know what it is. It might be the music, but it could also be her,” Puck explained, still staring at the light. “Here‘s a story of a girl, she‘s living in a lonely world,” Cameron sang. Lucinda just stared at her, until she noticed that Cameron was staring at her. Hey, what are you?” Cameron asked, as if she had gone though these situations before. “I’m Lucinda, and this is my brother Puck. We are looking for the one. And that one is the one who carries the blood for us to feed on so we can have all these magical powers.” Cameron and Puck stared at her as if she were crazy. “Well, don’t just tell her!” Puck shouted. Lucinda started to blush, aware of her giving away the “secret”. “Ok, um, well I’m not the one, so you can go now…” Cameron ordered. The 2 fairies started to leave. When Cameron thought that no one was looking, she took off the skin tight bracelets that cuffed her wrists. Under the bracelets were scars and lifted skin from cuts of knives.
A dark shadow came from the fog of the forest. “Did you get the boy?” Meredith asked with her voice lowered. “Well, you see, the window was locked and there was no way…” Meredith cut Lucinda off immediately. “The window was locked,” Meredith mocked, “MORON! Get me the boy! Now, he is the one, and don’t say he isn’t because I can sense it! Don’t mock my senses.” Lucinda did a large gulp, hoping not to be choked again. “But there was a girl,” Puck began, “she had all the signs. Alone, scared, and I could swear that the guitar she had was in the dumpster. And how else would she fix it, oh yeah, with magic.” Meredith gave him devil’s eye. “Get me the boy, or I will be forced to slice you like government cheese!” Puck and Lucinda now KNEW she meant business. They flew off before she could even insult them again.
Puck and Lucinda were at Archie’s window again, trying to open it. “Omigod, I just remembered something: we’re fairies, we have magic, and that magic can unlock a window.” Lucinda smiled bigger than ever, thinking that she actually had a good idea. Puck whipped out his finger, and unlocked the window. “YES!!” Lucinda shouted. Puck put his index finger over his mouth, telling her to shut her pie hole. They slowly lifted their hands, lifting Archie into the sky. He woke up with a sudden jerk. “hey, what? Help! Help!” he shouted among the twinkling sounds from the dust. It was to late for him to yell anymore, he was already out the window, scratching against the window pane. “HELP!!” he yelled at the top of his lungs. Cameron’s head popped out of her window that was placed on the 9th floor. “Omigod! Archie! Archie!” she jumped out to the tree next to her window. “ARCHIE!!” She only got a glimpse of his face. She jumped for the tall oak tree, and ran after him into the forest.
Archie lied down, strapped to the cold marble of the internal flame. “By the dark lords, the flesh of the one shall be fed to the internal flame!” Meredith shouted. The knife of the Roman realm flew above Archie head. Meredith grabbed it, and jerked it down to Archie’s chest. “Archie!” Cameron screamed. The knife was an inch away from Archie’s death, but some force was keeping it from stabbing him. “He’s not the one,” Meredith complained. “Archie!” Cameron shouted. She ran to Archie, crying to save him. Meredith stopped her with the knife, scraping skin on her neck. “But all the signs were--” Meredith stopped immediately, “Wait, what is this?” There were tiny drops of blood leaking from the knife. Everyone stared over at Cameron. A tiny scrape showed on her neck, barely bleeding. “No, I can’t be the one. There has to be some mistake.” She started to run, making an escape before anyone could catch her. Something caught her, and it wasn’t a branch, it was a force of nature inside of her. She knew she had to get rid of these devils once and for all. She took a swab of the blood from her neck, and ran all the way to Meredith, and shoved her bloody hand against her face. “Rot in hell!” Meredith flew back, unaware of that happening. “Archie!” Cameron ran over to Archie, untying his feet for the cold marble. They both ran from the burning trees, and the devil returning back to her rightful place.
Archie and Cameron stood under the giant oak tree that lead to Cameron’s window. “Um, thanks, for helping me, well, not die,” Cameron smiled, waiting for a response this time. “Um, you’re welcome,” Archie said nervously. “Oh, so you can talk.” They stood there for a moment, then Cameron did the unthinkable: she leaned in and kissed him. She smiled, and left up into the oak tree. She waited for a wave, then stepped into her window. They both smiled as they watched the stars from each window.
Archie and Cameron went all the way threw high school together, then after that, they both went their different ways. Ten years after college, they met AGAIN, and just like the 1st time, he didn’t say anything, so she spoke for him. She said, “You’re supposed to say, will you marry me?” And he did. Oh yeah, Puck and Lucinda ended up combining their spirits to create one pixie. They went around with a boy in tights, flying around to help orphan boys. You know this little pixie as Tinkerbell. Meredith worked were she should have, watching over the haunted souls that don’t deserve to sleep in Heaven, and I think Meredith learned her lesson: never trust a stupid pixie.
