War-Torn Soldier's Poems
My journal contains some of the poems I write. I do like poetry, and wish to post some here. Please read it and tell me what you think. It would be much appreciated.
Accolade
Here is another poem I wrote. Its called "Accolade".
I wrote it in honor of one of my friends that was recently killed in action in the United States Marine Corps.

"They've stormed beaches
They've fought in trenches
They've sprinted through deserts
And fired in urban cities as well
They've gone through absolute hell
These people are strong
They do a service no one can repay
But we should never forget
These brave men and women of the U.S. Military
Those who journey into the storm and don't return
Made a decision that required courage beyond measure
There our fallen comrades
And heroes too, even in their graves
Salute them and all who serve
We owe them a debt we'll never be able to pay"

Waah! >_< That was a really nice poem!
I could actually see that as both a poem and just a normal speech if presented to a class or something whee

My favorite line has to be this:
    Quote:
Made a decision that required courage beyond measure

It just sents this image that these people are making the choice to risk their lives for the well-being of others.

    "....on a stick." O:
