A documentation of a human's existence.
Several years worth of entries. Not routinely updated.
new years. this one's going in the memory book. XD
okay. so yesterday, new years eve, i went to my usual babysitting job. i arrived at six, and i sit for one boy and one girl. so the dad leaves and we're sitting around watching the dark knight (that movie was..umm. weird? i haven't watched any other batman movies...) so time passes and passes, but then the movie ends and so the kids get bored. i don't usually let kids just sit around doing nothing, because i like to do things more interesting than that, so i played some games with them. i played battleship with the boy (i lost...) and then we all played candyland ( i won once! what a victory!~) and also we played some mancala, ever heard of that? that's my favorite game, i think. i've been playing for a few years, ever since my cousin taught me, and now i'm pretty good at it. so we played a few rounds of that and then FINALLY the kids got tired. so we tried to turn on the tv, but the darned channel wouldnt turn. it was stuck on qvc or something, its like a shopping channel. so we turned that off and i told them it was time for bed. so off they go to their rooms (not that easily, there was a bit of resistance...) and i sit on the couch. so i'm thinking..hmm what to do now. so i got out my drawing book and started sketching a picture, then after a short while i decided that i didn't like the quiet, and it was freaking me out. so i turned on the tv, and tried everything i could to get that channel to turn. but no luck. normally i'm pretty brilliant with things and i can make them do what i want. but not this time. so i'm sitting there watching the lady and the dude on the tv saying "and if you'll look at these skillets, you'll notice that they're non stick! watch as we put cheese, peanut butter, even MARSHMELLOWS on it! now we'll just let that sit for a bit and then see what happens! if you look over here, you'll see all the colors that these fantastic, life time waranty skillets come in, we have eggplant, for those grape themed kitchens, olive, black, and this great blue, i really like this blue, its so pretty!" say's the woman as she taps her long manicured fingernails on the skillet. "and if you order now, we'll send it to you for only twenty five dollars, now where could you possibly get a designer skillet like that for only twenty five dollars? this is the best deal you'll ever find!" then some lady calls in and she's praising the all-mighty skillet and i'm sitting there staring at the tv just whispering "oh. my. gosh. what a bunch of IDIOTS!" so then it switches to the dude and he's talking about some computer notebook laptop blah thing that they're selling, for only 149.99, well, thats four easy payments of 149.99. but they tend to not emphasize that part, unlike the seemingly cheap price, and ooh don't you get ahead of yourself! you can ONLY order this at midnight for this limited time offer!. once again. staring at the tv. blankly. seriously, how much do these people get paid? must be a bundle, either that or their both incredibly stupid with no human feelings at all. because they spent their whole time smiling and ending their sentences with an exclamation point. so i watched as they sold the skillets, sold the graters, sold the notebook computers, and sold the "brand name" clothes (though i've never heard of any of their so called brand names) all of this while drawing. i watched them celebrate the new year. i watched a little bit of new york celebrate the new year, which was actually a little interesting, too bad it only lasted a minute and thirty seconds. so that was my grand old new year. when i got home i called celeste and celebrated hers with her, listening to her parents and family in the background. she's an hour behind, so it worked out. ta-da. now wasn't that absoloutly worth your reading time?
