I sit here in this dark lit room
Crying and dying
Of all of this
Loneliness
I look up at the sky
The sky is crying just like me
I can’t make the sky stop
Because first I must make myself stop . . .
Crying
I look at you and see a friend
. . . In the beginning, that is
Before, before all of this
I think I used to smile more
“You smile too much,” you say to me
“Why are you smiling?” Again
“What are you so happy about?” And . . . Again
And then now I’m just crying
Are you happy now?
If I help you, will you be my friend?
If I make you a picture, will you be my friend?
If I walk with you , will you be my friend?
If I listen to you, will you be my friend?
If I don’t smile . . . Will you be my friend. . .?
Look up, look down
Don’t smile
Look what you’ve done
Do you like me anymore?
Now that I have more people around me now
Than just you
Didn’t you know?
will you be my friend?
Or
Will you just tear me apart?
Don’t smile as much anymore!
Will you be my Friend!?
. . . .
I still smile. . .
But it’s so much more hollow
Didn’t you know. . .?
The sky is still crying
Didn’t you know. . .?
I stop crying
Didn’t you know?
I have no more tears I can cry
Didn’t you know?
I’ve run all out!
Didn’t you know?
I’m dead now!
Didn’t you know?
Can’t smile with out a tear now
Didn’t you know?
I don’t smile anymore . . .
But still . . .
I will look back at you
I’ll say to you now
Will you please just go away?
