"The way to develop self-confidence is to do the thing you fear & get a record of successful experiences behind you. Destiny is not a matter of choice; it's not a thing waited for, it's a thing to be achieved." --William Jennings Bryan
Response:
If you want great self-confidence, you need to do something you are afraid of. You should face your fears because once you aren't afraid, you are happy and ready to achieve a new goal or conquer a new fear.
Destiny and fate go hand in hand. Are we the way we are because of fate? Or do we make our own destiny in life? As soon as we are born, is life just picked out for us and everything we do from then on is just to keep us busy until we reach our destiny? Do we pick our own destiny? Are our choiced in life just following a path or track already beaten down for us from the past?
Or could it just be, that maybe everyone follows a track until they become a free thinker? That until we become free thinkers and jump the track we're following, destiny is picked out for us. The destiny that has been picked out for us is just tacked on our back, and until we realize that we need to pull that sign off of our back and find a marker to change it from 'Kick me' to 'Different.' or 'Original.' or maybe 'Happy to be an induvidula.', we're just stuck. Stuck and oblivious to the fact something has been picked out for us whether we like it or not, and we need to hurry and change it before it's too late. We're stuck in what we've been given forever.
