I have a dog named Mikey who was my first pet dog. In my younger days we use to play with each other. I threw a tennis ball, and he would run after it and start chewing on it. He was my favorite dog, and my first best friend. He gave me company when I was alone, or bored. He was my favorite dog. When i was seven Mikey got older and his back started hurting. He wouldn't play with me anymore, but he would still give me company. As he grew older and older i became more separated from him. When I turned ten we found out he was blind in one eye. He couldn't run anymore, so I started to not care about him anymore. When we move into our new house he would still follow me. When i went upstairs he went upstairs, but when he goes up stairs he cries, so i have to pick him up. When i turned thirteen i wouldn't do anything for him. He cried and cried until someone would take care of him. His back 2 legs wouldn't work, so he dragged himself with just his two feet. Every time i see him i wouldn't care at all. When he whines i ignore him. I wouldn't feed him when he is hungry, or give him water when he is thirsty. At my present age now(fourteen) he was still the same. I would get mad when i have to change his diaper or carry him outside. Between Jan. 25 - 26, 2009, he lost his mobility. I had to raise his neck so he could drink ,or eat. On Jan. 27 2009, he wouldn't move at all. If i tried to get him up he wouldn't get up. I tried to give him water by putting some water in his mouth. All he did was stick his toung out. On Jan. 28 2009 i was late for school. My dad drove me over to school and i saw Mikey just laying on the rug breathing. When i went back home i saw the hole that my dad made, covered in dirt. I look at his bed he wasn't there. All the sudden , the memories of him came back to me. I started crying in my bed thinking of how stupid I acted upon him. He was always there to play with me, and give me company. So i say.....
