So, this is my first journal entry. I don't really know what people write in online journals. Right now, I'm procrastinating by playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. It's pretty epic. Very addicting. Ah, now I have something to discuss.
Most people think you should give up your GameBoy after elementary school, but I strongly disagree. My sister teases me all the time for being a Pokemon addict. She says I'm immature because I play Pokemon. Once again, I disagree.
There are techniques for Pokemon that not many little kids get. You need to know which level you should raise your Pokemon to before evolving it, whether you should use offensive or defensive strategies, how to get the best EVs for your Pokemon, etc. Not to mention the side games - Contests, Battle Tower, chaining - as well as other challenges, such as breeding and capturing legendaries.
I think that Pokemon is a brilliant GameBoy game. It uses the perfect combination of simplicity and difficulty; young kids can play it with minimum strategy, while experts play seriously, discovering many methods for raising the strongest Pokemon.
