. . .OK...i'm not sure how to put all this, but today, the life of my mom, youngest sister, her friend, and mine ((and i think the friend of my brothers. But he's a Marine, so i'm pretty sure he was fine)) were almost taken. We went to the beach after church, and my sister and her friend went out into the water, but the under tow was strong and pulled them out. I was facing the other way when i heard my mom screaming and i saw two little heads sticking out of the water about 20 yards out so i starting running as fast as i could towards them and swam out. Luckily, a Marine friend of my brothers was with us and he swam out there. He grabbed my sister's friend and i grabbed my sister. But, of course, i'm not as strong a swimmer, especially when you have 5 ft waves constantly crashing over you every 5-10 seconds. I felt like i was hardly gunna make it, but after what felt like forever, i randomly felt sand beneath my feet and i found the strength to try even harder. The Marine friend got the other girl almost to shore before Mark((my oldest brother)) got to him and brought her the rest of they way in. Then his friend turned to help me and grabbed Julia. So with him taking my sister I swam towards shore, clinging to rocks to help pull me in. That's how strong the under tow was. But my mom was out in the water behind me also trying to get at the girls, and was barely making it. Eventually, my little sister was put on top of a rock that stuck out of the water and she slowly climbed the rocks towards shore. My younger brother Matthew took off for help for the dad of the friend who was stuck out of the water. Luckily, while Mark and his friend was trying to get my mom to shore, he ran in there and helped pull her to shore. My mom was so worn out and in shock. Luckily there's a golf course by the beach and as the guys tried to bring my mom up to the housing, a guy with a golf cart stopped by and let them use it. The whole time i was able to get out of the water, i was praying to God that he would just protect everyone and keep them safe. I praise Him for getting everyone out of the water safely, and that no one was hurt too badly. The only thing would be that a couple people, including me, got their legs banged up by the rocks and my mom had to go to Tripler Hospital. I just praise God for everything.
