Well once again this journal is having to do with my work, which I am seriously pissed off at. Once again I am working zero hours... zero hours again... for the second week and I'm not even on the schedule for next week. Isn't that wonderful? And so much for Subway... They told me I was hired but every time I call them they just tell me that there still looking for a store that will fit my hours. Yea right... i think they just don't want to tell me. "Oh sorry but we hired you thinking there would be store open for you but there isn't so... your fired." Great right?
I've even talked to the assistant manager of the whole pennys store at my work about hours, because people who were hired after me have all got 2-3-5 days of work. You know what he told me? He told me that he gives the hours out to each department and its the supervisors job in the department to give out the hours to the people in the department. I then told him i already talked to my supervisor and she said that she didn't have that many hours to give out, so she cant give me any. yet there are people in the department with 36- 32 hours and the people who were hired after me have at least 25 hours.
I told the assistant manager this and he just asked me how my performence was. I just looked at him and was like. "O~k" I told him I always show up for work and that I help the customers that need it and Im at the register when I have to be. He just nodded and said well yes I'm sure you've shown up cause you were only working one day a week before this. He then asked if I was late, I told him no cause I arrive at least 20-10 min early on my days. He then asked me if I was getting I CAPS. For you out there who don't know this, Its a little slip of paper that prints out for people just applying for a pennys card.
Of course I told him no. I haven't gotten one for about a month or two and you know what he said then? "well that's the reason your not getting any hours." I looked at his dumb struck. The only reason I'm not getting any hours is because I'm not getting I CAPS. Isn't that great? Thats it... thats the only reason. So I told him, Well how am I suppose to get I CAPS when i'm only working one day a week? HAHAHAH! you'll love this. He told me yea but I was working on a Saturday... the busiest day of the week so Im garentied to get at least one. R~i~g~h~t... before all this no hour crap I was working every Saturday... asked every customer I cam across if they had a Pennys card. Nope... nothing.
Well so know I know how Pennys works. They give you hours based off of I CAPS. If you don't get one... tough luck. You get no hours, wonderful. The only thing I can do now is put my name on the floater list. I did... still nothing. So if your someone out there planning to apply at Pennys, don't cause if you cant get one I CAP every moth. They WILL cut your hours all the way down to nothing.
On a sadder note, because I will be going to College I wont have that much time to spend on Emblems Of Draconia. This makes me sad because I still have so much more I have to do. I still have to find and hire a tattoo and jewelry artist and finish up drawing the final stages of the dragons... not to mention I have a few I still have to color. But I'm going as fast as I can. To everyone out there in Emblems Of Draconia thank you for all of your patients! I promise I will spend what time I don't have for school and work to get right on those dragons!
