The next few days Kat takes notes of who comes and goes within the shelter. She usually sketches the animals in her book she carries, but decides to make notes of customers, especially one that have stopped bye more than once. It's usually not overwhelmingly busy, but there is a lot to do. Haku, her dog, also takes notes of people by sniffing everyone entering the building. On Kat's lunch brake she looks over all the notes she took when Kenta leans over and takes the book and begins to read it.
"Excuse me!!!!" she yells angrily at him. "Do you mind?" she continues when he doesn't answer.
"So you think a customer has stolen them?"
"No, but I'm not ruling the idea out, you know my life's motto." She quickly snatches the book back.
"Gees, you're a grouchy person, Kat" , after realizing he isn't going to get to finish looking at hernotes he continues.
"Any how, why don't you look at the staff records? I know I'm not the best at this kind of stuff but wouldn't that help?"
"I thought you didn't want me involved in this case."
"You're a stubborn person; you wouldn't pass this up. You like solving puzzles."
" Looking at staff files wouldn't do me much good, theirs only a handful of people who work here and we all know each other. If I want to dig up any suspects, I have to get the reports from my mother and look at the seen my self."
Kat started to smile at the thought of getting to work on this because of her schooling. Kentasighs and walks to the front desk to great customers.
The dog warden came in with some animals. The trucks horn blows. Samantha, Kat and other employees help out to unload the animals.
"This run gave me some good dogs, Sammy."
"Don't call me that, Terry."
Terry laughs.
"Yea, yea. So where do you want these fur balls?" , He points to 3 cats.
"Are they in need emergency care?"
"No, nor do the dogs"
"Then they all go to get a check up." She yells to everyone "Timmy, Jennifer, and Kat take these animals to the vet please."
Everyone replied simultaneously "yes".
Jennifer picks up the 3 cat cages "I hate these discussing creatures. I'm much more a dog person." Timmy snaps back at her "why the hell do you work here then!!! If you're going to complain every time you see a cat then you might as well quit now, because I don't want to hear it."
Kat smiled, because Timmy was right and she agreed with him. Kat and Timmy got the five dogs and handed them over to the vet. Jennifer set the cat cages down. Terry drove off.
