Story part #2!!
Ok, This is a part from a story I'm Writing.. It's not very good in my opinion, but here's the summary up to the point at which I'll start you.

Synopsis

Dracil was the heir to the dragon kingdom Fiele, which resided peacefully nestled in the Balak mountains. His home kingdom in the mountains has been attacked, leaving, his soon to be mate and family under seige. In an act of cowardice, Dracil had fled his Kingdom as it was being attacked. The goddess of prosperity, Anutia, was so upset at the Conflict going on that she had frozen them all as they were, their battle torn faces locked in their agonized poses. Angered at the fact that Dracil had fled from where he was needed, she lays a curse upon him, so that each time he would have a thought of a cowardly nature, his mind would be wracked with the faces of his draconic peers, torn and bloody. His own body that of a human's, not to be restored until he'd overcome the cowardice inside of him and found a way to save his kingdom. He was woken in a stream by a young lass, very beautiful, but very lonely. He kept a firm hold on his love for his sweet Nacoan, her thought sustaining him on his long journey ahead. Fahlain, the lass who'd awoken him from the stream, decides to join him on his journey. As we begin, the duo is walking trhough the forest of Alishan, just outside of the city of Ravgo, named because of the gorge that surrounded it.

Dracil looks over to his traveling companion, hearing her tunic gently swish to the movements of the equine beneath her. He delves into his mind, trying to find something to releas them from the tensions of the road, the solitude of mind that encompassed them. He lets out a soft sigh as he stares at the ground beneath them, watching it slowly pass beneath them as easily as time eats away from their sanity. Not wanting to seem as though he despises her company he tries to initiate a conversation. "So, Fahlain... What were you doing out here all by yourself? I can see that you're beautiful, and one would think you would be the pride of some lucky man... or at least of your family."

She gives him a soft sad smile as she says to him, her voice slighty choked with a restrained emotion, "No. I have no one. I was abandoned by society becuase of what I am, cursed to forever live in a solitude, the prison of my condition restraining me regardless of where I am. I have no one, nothing, not even a freind... until now." She smiles softly to him, tears streaming gently down her cheek, belying how hard it was for her to utter those simple words. She turns her head away quickly, a cascade of hair hiding her delicate face like a masque of serenity, hiding the turmoil beneath.

Sighing as he rode on in silence, Dracil just tries to understand what she's told him. He gives up after what seems like an eternity as a wave of curiosity hits him. "Abandoned? What could possibly be so bad as to make them cast you away from them? In the short time I've known you, I see nothing that even says that you're of a malicious nature. You're as sweet as my Nacoan... Why would they think this of you? " He looks over to her, his eyes aglow with the truth of his statements, his apparent care obvious to her. " Though I would like to know, I can also understand if you should choose not to tell me... it is your matter, and I'll not pester you if you choose not to tell."

Fahlain just shakes her head as she stares at the ground, hurling the already dismal trip further into a miserable silence. She just sits there pondering her actions, the thoughts creating a maelstrom inside of her head, her emotions ravaging her heart. "I want to tell you, Dracil... I really do, but I fear what you'll think of me, of the monster that I am... " Her words trail off as they approach an old bridge, apparently sturdy despite its old age. She stops to look at it, the bridge being wide enough for a horse drawn cart, but not for two horses to walk abreast, the planks weathered and apparently slick. "Well, Dracil, this is the last bridge we have to cross before we reach the city of Ravgo... Before we must part ways. " She looks away from him, her heart caught in it's own vice, cursing herself for what she's going to do. She allows him to cross first, following shortly behind.

Dracil rides on in the silence, the opressive quiet bearing down on him like a suffocating prescence. He listens quitely as he absorbs all of the sights and sounds around him, the gorge below them opening up like the maw of the earth to swallow the impurities. He shudders at the nagging doubts in his mind before being stricken by a flash of pain. Shaking his head, he hears the bridge below them start to creak. He can feel Fahlain's presence behind him so he speeds up, nervous at the noises of the bridge. He breaks the silence with a nonchalant statment, an obvious facade to cover his agitations. "Fahlain, It's getting slightly dark, and though the moon's full, I don' t trust this bridge in the darkness... I think we should make camp over here for the evening." He hears the creak again, but louder this time as he reaches the end of the bridge, his horse barely putting it's feet down before the bridge shudders mightily as one of the support ropes snap. He pants as he gets off of his horse and collapses to the ground. He lays there the ground, his heart pounding from his excitment , his mind berating him for not checking on Fahlain. He lets a sigh of relife escape his lips as he sees that she's none worse for the wear, but can see her breathing had sped up during the imagined danger.

Smiling at his eagle spread body on the ground, she gets off of her horse and builds a small fire on the ground after tethring their mounts to a nearby tree. She goes over to sit beside him, smiling as the small flames smolde before fully roaring into a merrily crackling fire. She laughs inside of her mind, thinking at what a mocking sight it was to see, the light shedding over her soon to be dark form. Her thoughts quicken as she tries to beat the crest of the moon on the horizon. She looks to him as she sits over him, straddling his legs as she looks worriedly to the moon. She feels his struggle a little, but she keeps him pinned as she moves her head in closer to his, reaching out for a kiss to put her heart at ease. He eyes open wide in suprise as the gentle caress of his lips is felt. Giving a low and playful growl, the beast within her taking over as he pushes his back to the ground and moves further up his body to keep him fully pinned under small but powerful body. She can feel him gasp and shudder as his body twitches in pain, but the sensation is lost to her as she slowly becomes the monster within. He utters a soft, and heartfelt sentece as her face enlongates, becoming covered with a smooth auburn colour fur the outlit of it blood red agains the light of the fire. She closes her eyes as he body slowly enlongates becoming more wolven with each second that passes, but still retaining it's relatively human from. She cries as she changes, her emotions said in one sentence. "I'm sorry."

Dracil just looks at her at her first advance, not seeing any harm in it, but his mind becomes saturated in a shroud of misery as he leans in to kiss her. His mind screams at him, reminding him of his devotion to Nacoan. He grunts unexpectedly as he's pushed to the ground and pinned, her hands on his shoudlers, her body just a few inches above his own. His face contorts with terror as he sees her body transform infront of his eyes, taking a sleek and alluring appearance, belying the teeth that had enlongated in her muzzle. His heart speeds up, his thoughts whirling as she writher on top of him, the pain of the transformation obvious in her eyes. When he hears her soft, hopelessly pain opology, he looks to her, seeing the tears streaming down her face, feeling her claws dig into the soft flesh on his shoulders. Only one thought enters his head, and it not too pleasant as he feels her shudder to a halt, her maw barely inches above her neck. He desparately tries to talk to her, to reason with the human inside of her. "Fahlain! Stop this! You know who you are, so don't let this get the bettter of you!" His mind screams that he's going to die as he tries one final approach, feeling her teeth close about his neck. He screams in a choked voice, "I love you...." He passes out from lack of air as her fangs slowly crush his windpipe.

She stops herself as he hears his declaration, the words reaching to her soul far easier than any attack with a sword would, she weeps bitterly at what she's become as she lays beside him. She utters to the now unconscious Dracil in a gutteral tone one that still has a slight trace of it's femanimity , "I'm sorry Dracil.... You don't deserve this..." She cleans his wounds, his breathing ragged as she lays down next to him, keeping a vigilant watch over him in the night. " I love you too...."
