Sophie was....extremely flustered
in thirty minutes, she took a shower, yelled at David, got dressed, packed her things, got driven to the train station and was waving goodbye to her mom.
Today, I didn't want to waste away at home.
This weekend I planned to do things.
I found a seat at the top of the train and caught my breath.
I had to take the line all the way to the end of Union Station.
I was thrilled. :]
I started brushing my freshly washed hair.
To my left and a seat behind me was a girl I recognized from when we boarded the train. I think she was fillipino. She had those full lips and that look about her..
I don't know
I just remember that the whole time she was an occupant in the train cart that she was staring out her window.
Not once did she look at the obnoxious man on his phone (I'll get to him a sec), or did she notice me noticing her.
The girl looked at the slightly powered purple mountains, at the blurs of trees and cities and pedestrians fly by in the world outside of the window lined with Emergency Exit symbols.
The train slowed down and there was a couple holding onto each other in front of the railroad crossing.
To my left again and a seat ahead of me was a man.
He has got to be the most annoying piece of s**t I met that day.
That b*****d was telling his story to the Pink Razor phone in his hand and to everyone on the bus.
Everytime he laughed my ears and my patience were rumbled.
At one point, the man sitting a seat in front of me said "You're too loud."
Obnoxious man turned to him. "What?"
"You're too loud, sir."
It was a polite way of saying 'Shut the ******** up."
The man was ignored.
He was black guy who wore the same expression all the way to Union Station. I can't really describe it though. He didn't smile. He looked almost dead with his mp3 headphones on his ears. He wore a navy blue baseball cap with the words METRO on it.
I wondered what kind of person he was. The cap shouted out to everyone that he rode the Southern California buses frequently. Was he going to work? Was he visiting his family? Was he a happy person?
I brushed my hair and stole a glance at the man whose life I was wondering about.
The a*****e roared on.
"Did you go to that dinner? When was it anyways? Aaaah I said ******** that s**t, you know?" He yelled at the poor soul he was cussing at.
At one point he looked out the window on my side and asked me if I knew what city we were in. I saw his bloodshot eyes that were being pathetically concealed by a pair of Guuci sunglasses. He was probably weeded out.
"Nobody here knows what city we were in." He said to the phone.
The phone gave him a response which caused him to roar with laughter.
The Metro guy and I were rolling our eyes at each other. Or more like, I was rolling my eyes and I felt like Metro guy wanted to do the same thing.
