All our lives it was there... All our lives we cheerished it. And now it is gone... Today things just are not the same. As long as i can remember our nebour had this swing set, and all the kids in the nebourhood would play on it, so many memories.... we were the youngest Tobi and I, and so after a whie the others stoped coming. there was shawn jude johannah stephanie nicole stephan and us. we woud play games such as spider, grounders hide and seek and many more. what fun we had... we grew up with that swing set. it was made of strong wood with 2 swings a rope and a bar we could hang from. on the side of the swing set holding it together were 2 wooden bords that we would cimb up onto so we could reach the bar. it was so long befor either of us was tall enof to get to it and shawn would always kid us about it. there was so many memories... like the time tobi got up to the rop for the first time, we were the only ones and she was very scared. me being older, i was coaching her through it because i had used it many times she grasped onto it with her hands and got ready to lift her feet from the bord. as she did so her palms started sweating and she was quickly loosing grasp. i yelled to her "your going to fall!" then she let go because she was so scared and dropped to the ground. later we found that she had sprained her ankle. but our memories were not all bad, i remember the time the browns (the owner of the set) put a sort of carrying thing that hooks to a car next to the rope thats when we got an idea! we would climb up onto the platform while holding the rop and jump! it was so much fun fying throught the air! what a feeling of exzearation! And whenever we had osmething important to tell each other we would talk about it there, because altho in someones back yard it was pretty sucluded and we felt as if we could tell each other anything personal in safty there. and now... it is hard for me to think that our beloved swing set is gone. for you see today was the first sunny and warm day of winter and most of the snow had melted so we ran over there to play. we decided to do both swing on the rop at the same time (we have done this befor) so we got on and were having a fun time! but then something wa shapping and we were going down slowley. she thought the rop had snapped, and i had no idea what was happing, just going down till we were laying on the ground me on top of her, i rolled over and looked up to see the swing set was falling!! on top of us! but luckly it fell in such a way that we were inside the space between the legs. it was very scarey. so we both got up and ooked around. "what are we going to do?" she asked. " i guess we should try to put it back up. so we lifted, this thing was like 400 punds and it was out of place anyway so we gave up and went to notify the owners. i was nervous and asked her to hold my hand... And thats what happened. It was very scarey and sad. so for the week we are going to remember all we can about our child hood oon those swings.
