So I started cross stitching last week, my sister's been nagging me for ages to try it out.

I had a little beginner's card of a cartoon cow and I finished it the other day and now I'm looking around for more! This bloody thing is very addicting! blaugh

So now I'm counting down the days until I get to town and buy up some threads and aida (that's the fabric you stitch on) so that I can go sick and make up some little cards. I figure its a great way to start and get some experience because they are small so I'm not too daunted with some huge piece of work that I'll get nowhere with for ages as I stitch away one little section at a time.

In fact I have this silly idea of making up a bunch of cards and trying to sell them in my local shop. I don't know if they would even sell but it would give me something to do. I even thought of making up little stickers with some cute logo/slogan on it, like a real small business. The best I can come up with at the moment is 'Sew Much Fun!' If you have a better idea let me know, please.

Of course eventually I want to do some of the big experienced pieces like my sister does. I even have some in mind, they are a set of four Queens dressed up as the cards - you know Queen of hearts, Queen of clubs etc.

Of course those are way off in the future when I am a hell of a lot more confident. 3nodding

Until then its little cards and beginners patterns and trying to justify to myself why I am sitting here crossstitching instead of doing my homework. rolleyes
