Why do people try so hard to believe in something that doesn't exist?

What happens when life is GONE? Officially and totally GONE? When the human race, animal races, EVERYTHING is just GONE? Will the clock still tick? Will EVERYTHING completely BLOW UP? Is life just one board game that's being played by God himself? {Who, by the way, doesn't exist!!}

I didn't get into duPont Manual High School. I got my rejection letter on Saturday, and at the time, I couldn't really care less. But when I got to school today, EVERYONE was asking anyone they could find: "Did you get in?". I got asked about a hundred times, and every single time I was asked, I just wanted to die.
Manual is one of the best schools in the UNIVERSE {In my opinion... :/} and I REALLY wanted to get into MST, so I would be a bit better prepared to become a Forensic Anthropologist. All the people who SHOULDN'T'VE gotten in did. Well, most of them. Most of the people who got in are just... ARGH. Their report cards look like it has a stutter: D-D-D-D-D... Mine isn't much better... But that's not the point!!

I realize that someone could easily look up Manual High School and find out where I live... And stalk me... And rape me... But I don't care. Because both of those usually lead to death, and by killing me, you save me the trouble of doing it myself.
