What is the world?
What is the world? well I will tell you...
The beauty
The beauty of this world. We are loosing it. Whether it was given by God, gods or simply created by a big bang of sorts we are loosing a grip on this world.

Remember the beauty of a setting sun? the beauty of a rising sun? the soft breeze on your face as you see before you a kingdom of trees, animals, lakes, oceans, mountains and clouds? when was the last time you truly enjoyed what is around you? can you even enjoy it? when the horizon is polluted with buildings, sky scrapers, cars and everything artificial man has made.

Everyone longs to be outdoors, consciously or subconsciously, it is in our very core. Yet here we are, striving to be the best in a 2 by 2.

There was a time when man would look upon the land he stands on and the land around him, fall down to his knees and cry in pure joy from the magnitude of the beauty of this world. Now people fall down to their knees and cry at what those men have created for themselves.

Would our ancestors be proud? would our childrens childrens be proud? at what the world is.

The American bill of rights stated that everyman has the right for the pursuit of happiness. Though what is the best happiness one can claim today? to be bound by jobs, by bills, by society, by money. I do not see that as happiness no matter how rich I am no matter how great my 2x2 job is.

There, I've said it. the one thing that truly draws out greed that rips it from our souls and shoves it up our asses - money.

Isn't it true though that simply by forgoing belief in monetary systems one is not yet free of their grasp? For is not money actually a physical manifestation of power?

Even if we all burnt our money, we would only destroy this power in a physical sense. Destroying its social aspects is much more difficult. For what you have or know more than others gives you a measure of power, to be traded in for that which you need or want. The powerless, be they humans or animals, must exist so that those with power can exist. For every car-owner in the western world, there are ten pedestrians in poorer countries. For every house built, several trees must be destroyed.

To abolish greed is to create equality for all. Doing so is problematic and not without paradoxes of its own. Take Marxism as an example; we may dream, but our dreams do not always carry well into reality.

lol essay-form
I got to thinking about money at my bartending job at a festival in Nijmegen. It sucks.
