Anime that I currently own.
This journal is made to give you readers some brief discriptions of the anime that I own. Hopefully while reading these, you may find something new that interests you.
FLCL
Volume one.

Episode one: FLCL

A boring boy lived in some ordinary town. There was nothing around but a mountain, a river, and a school. The only neat thing was this medical supply factory on the town's edge. Then enter a charming and highly attractive, not to mention talented, girl on a vespa. And everything changes. First, he gets a bump on his head. Then a robot appears! Does this glamorous girl have something to do with the robot? Was the boy specially chosen by some unknown force for some mysterious purpose? It's strange. Weird. Fantastic. Ha! Guess things won't remain ordinary anymore!

Episode two: Fista

The amazingly wonderful alien and that box-head Canti move into Naota's home. Strange things are happening in Mabase. And stranger things are happening to our young hero. Horns grow out of his head. Abnormalities discoverd in his brain. City on fire!! Are these weird things linked with arson? An elementary school burned down 6 years ago, ya know? That was where Naota met Mamimi, the mysterious high school girl who doesn't make any sense. Mamimi starts to confuse Canti with the "god" in her video game. Like the game and the real world, the past and present start merging. Oh yeah! And another weird thing appears in Naota's head....

Volume two.

Episode three: Maru Raba

With the box-head and super-cool alien chick at home, Naota tries to maintain a normal school life. But he's to play the cat in the school play "Puss 'n Boots," while class president Ninamori is to play the lead. However, attention-loving Ninamori's got her own problems. Looks like Mayor Daddy's involved in a scandal and her parents are heading for splitsville. Her poor little heart is trembling, but she hides her pain from the world. When it comes to hiding stuff, Naota's the best. This time it's a pair of fuzzy cat ears. Co-conspirators with secrets, eh? The truth must come out, and so must another robot. Box-head Canti and Super Space Sleuth Haruko save the day! That's how the story goes, right?

Episode four: Furi Kuri

He's a boy who carries a bat. But he's never hit anything. That's Naota. Well, now he's finally standing in the batter's box. The crowd is cheering... well not so much cheering, as shouting. But wait! An unidentified flying object is heading for Mabase. Where'd it come from? Outer space, dummy. Ther're heeere. It's the aliens. Get ready for a real big bang. Alien wars vs. baseball. Huh? You don't get it? Do you feel like you've been hit in the head? Well, just you wait, this episode's got some horror, too. Hideaki anno's our "friendly mecha" animation director and Yoshitsune Izuna's onboard as the guest mecha designer.

Volume three.

Episode five: Bura Bure

Before we knew what was happening, we're at episode 5. The story keeps progressing at its own pace, ignoring the fact that the next episode will be the last. Has it progressed? Nah, not really. What's going on? "FLCL's" an absurd anime. Really? No, the story's just moving slowly. Stuff has changed. There's Amarao and Kitsurubami. It's time to start the invasion. Everyone pick up your guns! Naota X Haruko. Naota X Mamimi. Naota X Kamon. Canti X MM Robot. Haruko X Amarao. Who will be the survivor? BTW, playful art director Hiroyuki Imaishi pays homage to an old Gainax clip. And producer, Hiroaki Sakurai visits. If that makes any sense.

Episode six: Furi Kura

The end is here. Are you relieved? At least we've got cool backrounds, crazy mecha, and purposely confusing speech. But reality is filled with these kinds of inconsistencies, no? There's no way to understand it all. But I digress. Sorry. So the story unfolds at high speeds as the lovely Haruko's secrets are revealed. And the Pirate King descends... Ya know, doesn't all of GAINAX's recent shows seem like a rushed job in the end? It's not that they're lazy, but sure looks that way. I'm not trying to blame them or anything. This time, the fight scenes are WAY cool. Kill! Kill! Kill! I mean... ya wanna come watch?
