im still in disbelief of what happened last night... i was so excited and stunned that i forgot to make a journal entry, so im doing it now...

last night, around midnight i guess it was... i was playing pokemon platinum, training near the fuego ironworks... and all of a sudden, i encounter a SHINY POKEMON... it was a gastrodon, i was just shocked, i went numb and i couldnt believe it!

i tried throwing quick balls and dusk balls, it kept breaking out, i was scared i wouldnt get it since most of my pokemon would probably kill it... so i used my level 20-somethin crobat's bite attack, weakening it just a bit, maybe 1/3 of its HP, and i threw another dusk ball... i managed to capture it!

i skipped out on naming it, since i just wanted to get to saving my game as quickly as possible, though now i wish i had named it...

anyway, considering i started playing at pokemon red, back in the first generation... and my very first shiny encounter was much later in the fourth generation of pokemon, in platinum... this was one hell of a special moment in my pokemon life, and i dont think i'll ever forget it.

...and anyone who thinks it isnt so special, i'll tear off your jaw bone and ram it up your a**l cavity...

HAHAHAHA!!! i got a shiny pokemon! mrgreen 3nodding cool

Edit: i found the name rater in eterna city and decided to name my shiny gastrodon... since it is a male, i named it "Champ" after the lake monster in lake champlain.
