Act One: Dark Disorder, Part Three
Gerard staggered onto their front lawn. The sun could just slightly be seen on the horizon. Gerard felt weak and everything became blurred. He could barely see the glowing light over his drive way. Gerard passed out on the lawn … Mikey panicked … He looked around and tried to help Gerard up, but he was out cold.
Mikey grabbed Gerard’s cell phone, noticing it was dead, he tried their house phone …
“Hello?” Frankie said, extremely drowsy from staying up to late.
“Frank?!” Mikey quickly replied.
“Ya, Hey … Why the hell did u call me?” Frankie said louder than he should have, slurring his words together, making it hard for Mikey to understand him.
“Frank, something is really wrong with Gerard, Ca- Can you come over please?” Mikey said, wondering if he would ever get an answer that made sense out of Frank.
“Wait … What?” Frankie replied confused with his mind still set on sleeping.
“Frankie, just come over, I’ll make coffee.” Mikey said in a slightly irritated tone of voice.
“Yumm… I like coffee,” Frankie said with a long pause, “Okay I’ll be over in a sec, Bye.” Mikey was about to say bye, but was interrupted by a dial tone.
Mikey walked back outside, sat next to Gerard and put his hands into his pockets. A deep breath and a sigh is all he could say. He was so very scared for his brother, he didn’t know what was so wrong with him. It’s not normal for Gerard, or anyone, to go parading through the streets, without even a coat, on such a freezing night. He was just glad to see his brother wasn’t dead, and that he was still breathing okay.
Mikey zipped up Gerard’s hoodie, and touched his hand. Gerard’s skin was cold as ice … and rock hard. Mikey pulled away almost immediately. It was a scary moment, then he knew that something was really wrong with his brother. Mikey went back inside, and put some coffee on.
